Thank you, Jackob! Just last evening we received notice from Mark Martin's assistant that the files were up. It was too late last night to work any longer to set up the links from this site, but Richard is going to post an announcement and also links to the audio files.

I agree, Jackob--the interviews are great. This was the first I'd heard them!

Oh man! I was kind of hoping the interviews would never show up online.....at least not mine. :-)

I seriously screwed up the Investigative Judgment question. I called it a "future judgment" which is only true if Jesus hasn't gotten to your name yet. I think that answer came out of my old deeply embedded hope that the judgment wouldn't get to me for a lot of years yet. I wish I had explained that it started in 1844 with dead believers and would eventually get around to the living. It's hard to fully understand the strangeness of that doctrine without that little piece of information. DOH!!!

My only defense is that it was 6:00 a.m. in the morning which is WAAAYYY before I normally rise (I hate morning) and I thought I was going to be speaking on the topic of "The Importance of Proper Hermeneutics in Bible Study." Instead I get fun questions like, "Explain the Investigative Judgment" and "Is Adventism a Cult?" :-)

Oh well.....hopefully the Lord was able to use it in some way as flawed as it was. Can you tell I'm really embarrassed?

Hey, Chris--I thought your interview was good! Actually, the whole collection is an excellent resource. What came through to me is that in different ways the same messages kept coming through. Obviously our reactions and understandings aren't isolated. Our collective experience is consistent.

Colleen and Chris. I have an SDA pastor friend of mine who emailed me the link to these files after listening to them. He wasn't aware that I had already downloaded them, but he couldn't stop listening. He's in the same boat I am with our belief system. He will read this post too.

Just letting you know so that if you ever feel tempted to "opt out" of a recorded interview, DON'T! You never know who will listen.

Thanks Colleen. I haven't listend to all of the interviews yet (I've heard about half of them), but I agree that there is a remarkably consistent message coming through. That has to be a Holy Spirit thing. I was also pleased to hear that the hosts seemed to be in agreement for the most part. Colleen, your explanation of the importance of understanding the reality of the human spirit was excellent! I was really blessed by your comments. I think you made quite an impression on the hosts (one of which was a former WWCG member).

Freeindeed, I don't think I've welcomed you to the forum yet, so "Welcome!"

Thank you for sharing your story and also for mentioning your pastor friend who found these links. I think that most of us who are actively involved in FAF ministries are involved in large part because we still have loved ones who don't understand the Gospel any better than we did at one point. We have a heart for our Adventist friends and family and want them to have the same joy, peace, and even excitement that we are experiencing in Jesus. Sometimes it feels like a hopeless battle and becomes very discouraging. However, when I hear of just one person that is being blessed by the message, it gives me renewed energy and resolve. Thank you for that.

When I first encountered "formers" through Proclamation!, I thought, "OK, they don't like the church, why don't they just leave and find the fulfillment they need." As I have come to embrace, accept and love the New Covenant of Jesus, it is SO clear to me why us formers stick together and share our new found freedom.

We are not "bashing". It is a love for Jesus that we MUST keep our voices raised to His calling.

Thanks, Colleen and Richard, for your countless hours.

I've been enjoying the audio files that have been made available. I heard some of them in person but listening to them again allows the Holy Spirit to continue to work in me to peel back more layers and reveal God more fully.

I had not heard the interviews before so those are new and very welcome to explore. Thanks to each of you who allowed yourself to be interviewed. (even the one who is beating himself over the back . . . :-)) Chris you did a great job in your interview.

Chris please keep your sister in prayer this evening and also me as I get to run the Power Point and very nervous about it. I don't want to be a distraction from what God is doing.

I know Cherry's heart is to see the Holy Spirit work powerfully and see a church on its face weeping with relief, repentance and joy at having the grave clothes removed.

I know this can only happen through the awesome power of the Holy Spirit and nothing less. God calls us each one on our faces before Him to seek His face and live in His presence every moment of every day.

In His hands,

richard

When I found this web site, I did not know that there were so many formers. I thought they were few and far between. I felt so alone when I decided not to be rebaptized into the SDA church. What I surprise I was in for. I was so happy to find this forum. God led me here, just like He did many of you.
So, This is not the first time I thank you, Colleen and Richard, and I know it will not be the last time. I thank God for the work you have done with this web site and for Proclamation.
God is truly AWESOME.
