HEHE. I knew that would get your attention! :-)

Sadly, this is the latest I have heard from someone who actually has done a lot of studying and has the ear of Clifford Goldstein.

Yes, they actually said (I didn't hear this personally, rather it came through a mutual friend), that the "IJ isn't bad, it's just about Christ's intercessory work in heaven."

I'd love to hear your responses...:-)

AND we need to know that this is another way that SDAism is going to try to look evangelical. You just watch...it'll be the next way that they'll say "we're evangelical".

What makes me sad is that the leaders know all about the IJ/EGW and that it is not Biblical and they keep foisting it on people who are afraid/can't/do not want to study the Bible for themselves. I do not know who is at fault here. The children especially are getting brainwashed and those I really feel sad for. The adults can read for themselves, if they will.

Diana, good question. Yes, Patria, I've heard this or related comments, too. Of course it's a way to suppress the reality of the IJ. They have re-defined and relabeled it, relying on their use of "hidden meanings" to get away with using words average Christians understand to mean something different. Unless an "outsider" searches for himself to understand the doctrine, they won't figure it out.

Yet there has been NO change in this doctrine. Jan Paulsen affirmed it specifically in his "Theological Landscape" speech in 2002 (available online).

I was trying to find Jan's 2002 speech for another reason. Does anyone have the link handy?
