There is a great presentation on the gospel at white horse inn this week. I've listened to it a couple of times and have been blessed. Thought I would pass it along... http://www.whitehorseinn.org/

4truth,
You are a person after my own heart! The White Horse Inn is the most educational, entertaining, and stimulating program ever to be on Christian radio. They are now having the Romans revolution, and going through the book of Romans. Michael Horton is a great host, and the other panel members interaction is just so fun to listen to. But they make theology interesting! No topic is as important today as the book of Romans, and the absolute importance of preserving the Reformation today, when it is under attack by the popular Christian leaders.

BTW, I see this is your seventh post, and I want to welcome you to FAF! If you want to discuss WHI more, then email me at riverfonz@aol.com

Patria,
Ken Jones and Rod Rosenbladt are not near as sabbatarian as Michael Horton and Kim Riddlebarger. Especially, Dad Rod, as he is affectionately called, as he is the Lutheran representative. Luther had no regard for the Sabbath or Sunday, and really neither did Calvin if you read Calvin's lectures on the decalogue. But Kim and Michael adhere strictly to the Westminster Confession which does teach Sunday as Sabbath. But, Patria, I am really happy you listen to these guys.

Sola Gratia,

Stan

Another great show last night on the White horse Inn at www.whitehorseinn.org For the Lutherans on this board, they had Dr. John Warwick Montgomery, a Lutheran scholar, and considered one of the best apologists for the resurrection of Christ--and he is very funny also.

But Shane Rosenthal does a segment on that show, where he takes a roving microphone to different Christian conventions, and last night it was to a pastor's conference, and asked questions about what these pastors thought of the best way to present the truth of the resurrection to non-believers. In almost every case, they answered subjectively--somewhat akin to the Mormon's "burning in the bosom" warm fuzzy feelings type of answers, rather on the objective proofs of the resurrection. It was amazing to listen to.

Another great program tonight on the White Horse Inn at www.whitehorseinn.org The topic tonight is what are we saved from? If you want to see the sorry state of the evangelical pastoral world, then don't miss Shayne Rosenthal's roving microphone, when at an evangelical pastor's convention, when he asked the question "What are we saved from'? Very few answered that we are saved from hell and the wrath of God. Most said that we are saved from ourselves, and saved for a better moral life, or saved to improve our emotional and financial lives--Oh please!

J. Vernon McGee's prophecy of the evangelical world becoming totally apostate before Christ comes is becoming more evident now than ever. As another illustration of this, I was listening to the most popular Christian radio station in LA, and I had just finished listening to R.C. Sproul give a most stirring lecture on the truth of the Trinity. Then at the end of the program, there was a commercial advertising a "revival" by T.D. Jakes. This is one of the most influential voices today in 'evangelicalism", and he denies the doctrine of the Trinity--teaching the Sabellian heresy of modalism, which Chris talked about on the Trinity thread.

The prophecies that Jesus made about the wolves in sheep's clothing are indeed becoming true.
