This is just to say thank you to each one of you who have served in the military or who currently
have family serving or are currently serving. It is also to remember those who gave their lives in service of our country that we might continue to be free as we are.
As you all know, this is very personal to me because my son is active duty Air Force at this time.
I just want to let each of you know that you are very much appreciated.
God bless you as you continue your work for Him.

Thank you so much Diana for that reminder. We need to all thank the Lord for the freedoms we have in this country. I am thankful for the sacrifice of so many who gave their lives so we can be free. As Lee Greenwood sings,
"I'm proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free...God bless the USA!

I also want to give my thanks for our military men and women! What would we do without them? Their sacrifices and the sacrifices of their family members are so great. I appreciate all that they do, and praise God for them!

Praise God for His acts in history that formed and preserved our country, and for all the people who have served it faithfully.

Here in the Bay Area there is a large military graveyard in Colma/Daly City. My daughter were there yesterday and a crew had very carefully placed a small American flag at the base of each cross that marked a grave. The stars and stripes made it a sea of worship and patriotism when you add the crosses, flags, and Stars of David all together. I could not help but be riveted in awe of the number of people who have selflessly laid down their lives to keep our nation free. God bless the USA!

As an ex-combat medic in Nam this is a day of mixed emotions for me. It is a time when I remember, a little to vividly, some of the men I "ministered" to 35 years ago. That's all I'll be saying. :-( Through it all I KNOW that God is in control.

Richard, I can only guess at what is going through your mind at this time. God brought you through a horrific experience. Just remember that....." all things work together for good to them who love God, to those called according to his purpose". God can use those experiences for you to help others.
God bless you and 91 steps as you move forward with Jesus Christ to lead you.
He is always awesome.

My wife Kathy and I went to a small cemetary here in Esparto this morning where the Veterans of Foreign Wars gave a short tribute to our fallen comrads. Some of them were my own high school and Army buddies. May we never forget the sacrifice they made for all of us. CW

Since this is a thread honoring our US Military, I would like to say I am really proud of the special forces team that carried out that direct hit on Al Qaeda's top man Al-Zarqawi last night. This is really good news that this man who personified evil in every way, even personally carrying out the beheadings of our own people has now gone to his eternal reward.

Thanks Stan,
And the men on the ground will get no recognition for what they did and neither will the pilots that dropped the bombs. But God knows.
Thank you, all of you in the military. I appreciate every one of you.
Diana
