The time has come for me to write a letter to the church I used to attend, haven't set foot in there for over 1 1/2 years, to request them remove my name from the books. My wife still attends that church and still works at the GC, so I have to be tactful and not write anything to get her into hot water. I am an old cop, and not exactly that tactful, I do not like to beat around the bush. If anyone has any suggestions please e-mail them to me at: jsbelljr83@verizon.net. Thanks in advance.

Father in Heaven, give 91 steps the words to say in his letter requesting his name be removed from the SDA church books. You know his situation with his wife and you know what is best. As always God you are awesome.

I have a great deal of respect for policeman. I have 4 nephews who are policemen. So thank you for your work as a cop.

Thank-you for the prayers and kind words. Although I an no longer a policeman, I am still a cop at heart.

I gave my wife the letter last week for her to submit at the board meeting. What cracks me up is she said the pastor was all broken up over my decision, yet last time I was at the church was before he came there! But, he said he would honor my request not to have anyone call me. As I stated in my letter, no one has contacted me for over 1 1/2 years, so why should they do so now????>

Violet you hit the nail on the head. The GC has an Archives and Stats Dept that keeps track of those things, and I get the impression it is all about numbers.
