I believe free will is being discussed quite extensively in the "Human-Centered Theology" thread, just a few down from here. That's the Arminianism versus Calvinism discussion. Arminianism is about free will and human choice, and Calvinism is about God's sovereignty and God's choice. I loved Colleen's recent post on that thread about how on one side over the doorway it says "Enter and come unto Me." Once a person walks through that doorway he looks back and sees these words over the doorway on the inside: "Chosen from the foundation of the world." I think that pretty well sums it up.
