Hey friends,

I found this site online today, www.ariel.org. It's a Messianic Jewish site, (for lack of a better term) that is mainly for evangelizing to Jews, but is helpful as a Christian site from a Jewish perspective.

Anyway, under the "Messianic Studies" there are some great studies on biblical prophesies. I actually ordered a study (they cost $3) on the history of Chanukkah and the Daniel 8:14 prophecy.

I also ordered a neat study on "The Law of Moses and the Law of Messiah".

My husband isn't interested at all in ellenwhite.org or sdaoutreach.org, so I'm hoping he'll at least look at a Jewish perspective on the Daniel prophecy.

Leigh Anne, others here have also benefited from ariel.org. It's a great find! Praying for your husband...

I also like ariel.org. There is an execellent study on the Sabbath (as well as other studies).

I think all are very thoughtfully done.

I will have to look at the study you purchased. I have stayed away from most things related to Daniel since I was sick to death of hearing it in church week after week after tiring week...

InSearchOf, I don't blame you for being sick to death of Daniel! I remember when my husband was attending Loma Linda U and he'd tell me about his "Daniel and Revelation" class. At the time I thought it was really strange that any church would spend as much time on only two books of the bible. I often wondered "Why don't they spend time on the books where Jesus lived, walked preached?" especially if they profess to be Christians. But then, I wondered why the pastor would quote EGW more than Jesus during worship services.

DUH!

I really want to make it my mission to educate and equip our kids with God's word and against self-proclaimed "inspired prophets".

I have an elderly SDA rtelative who attended La Serria College in the 1930"s (40's?) and the only Bible class required at that school at that time wes the Daniel and Revelation class, which she did take. That seems really weird to me as they advertise themselves to be a Christian college so I would assume there would be more requirements about understanding Christianity.
