Gilbert, you need to do more of those. To describe - It's very funny, and yet very sad at the same time... I'm kind of curious, and I know it doesn't matter that much, but what are the dates of her contradictions? I mean, were they in the same year? And did she ever come right out and say something to the effect of, "Sorry, nix that last prophecy, I have a new revelation". I know... that's WAY too much to ask. Leigh Anne | ||

Leigh Anne -- She did go through a significant transition in during the time period where she tried to cover up what she had previously written about the "shut door" (close of probation) taking place in 1843/1844/1851 and then around 1888. The Investigative Judgment theory didn't materialize until around 1857. She had a really big problem with date setting. That is why her entire family got kicked out of the Methodist Church. Progressive revelation is supposed to be just that -- not contradictory revelation. Denise -- this blog was actually the "brainchild" of my 11-year old son, and he came up with the first question. We are all so very frustrated with the Historic Adventist leadership's total denial that Ellen even had a problem.
