As a brand new member of this forum I visited the archives and read many of your old discussions. I was pleasanly surprise to find comments about my website and book I wrote. Since I cannot find the posting again (you guys are really busy "talking" and it was posted, I believe, in September 2005), I am taking the opportunity to answer some of the posted questions I remember.
The website is www.thetruthfactor.com and the book is The Truth Will Set You Free.
One of the question was why are chapters of that book read at our Bible Study. I believe that before I publish my book I should let other believers judge--evaluate my writing. So my husband, our son and his wife got together once a week for that purpose (We also met a different day for a Bible reading). Occasionally we were joined by one or two other believers. While reading and discussing it we found out that the chapters are great for a Bible Study. Each chapter is supported by many Scripture verses, is independent and on a different subject. At the end of each chapter one has a closure on that topic.
The other question was why chapter "Sabbath." I will answer with a short excerpt from chapter "Sabbath."
In Jesus we have eternal life, and NOTHING can separate us from the love of God. If we keep asking for things we have already received, we are not walking by faith. We are double-minded, and there is no rest for a double-minded person. Once we realize that we have entered the rest and what is really means--what a difference this truth makes in our everyday lives!
Yes, we rest in Jesus. We rest in His finished work on the cross and His resurrection.
JESUS IS OUR REST. JESUS IS OUR SABBATH.
----
Upon your request I will send you the entire chapter: info@thetruthfactor.com

7 entire chapters are available to read for free on the website and link "Wisdom" has many excerpts from my book and a new one is added each month.
We all need to be established in truth of God's Word, for ONLY the Truth will set us free.

I am looking forward to participation in this forum and I also welcome any constructive comments about my book and the website.
GOOD IS GOOD! In His precious Love, very blessed "freshstart."

Thanks for your welcome! Can anyone tell me how to edit my last posting? In the middle of the night a thought that I messed up my e-mail address came to me and yes, today I found out that I did. I added .com to it. I am totally new to this and a little nervous too, hahaha... Any suggestions on how to be an effective member of this forum? Give me the "ropes." Thanks! In God's precious Love, very blessed Freshstart

You can go to the top and click edit profile, however it is only edit-able for 30 minutes, I think. You will have to log in about 2 times before you can edit it, but you can edit any post within a brief time of it being posted.

and then it will add this message to the bottom of the post that it was edited.... :-)

This is for Helovesme2, Colleentinker and anyone interested to know more about my association with SDA. It was brief, but I was greatly impacted by it. I am a Christian for 23 years, and it was at SDA Bible Study I met Shelly--4th generation SDA member. She was already being freed from bondage of religion at that time, but kept going to SDA church for little longer because of her husband--3rd generation SDA member. I will forever be grateful for meeting her, for she introduced me to a ministry in Dallas that is teaching the undeluted Word of God. In my case the coming to realization that as a child of God I am loved unconditionally, accepted fully, and forgiven totally was almost like I was born again, again! I was literally jumping with joy. I remember Shelly's first words: "It's all about Jesus." Indeed, Christianity is all about Jesus, and what He wants to do through His body--the Church--all people who applied His blood to themselves. Thank you Jesus! In Christ Jesus we are free indeed! In His precious name, very blessed Freshstart

Oh, I so understand that joyful freedom, Freshstart! What ministry in Dallas did Shelley introduce you to?

Hi Colleen! The ministry's name is People to People. Bob George is the founder and a writer of some of the best Christian books I know of. "Classic Christianity" and "Growing in Grace" are a must for all believers. They have a radio program as well or can be listen to on Internet. Anybody can call them "live" with questions. If you are interested I will give you more info.
After I grasped the total forgiveness we have in Christ Jesus, I thought that somebody re-wrote my Bible over night, hahaha...It was incredible! As I write in my book in chapter "Religion," religion keeps one bound and shackled, keeps many from God, turn many away from God, blinds people to the truth, confuses and mislead, is based on outside performance, produces artificial fruit, hurts people, kills people, and sends people to hell. Can you say Amen to that? GOD IS GOOD! In His precious Love, very blessed Freshstart

Oh, Bob George is wonderful! I recommend Classic Christianity to everyone and often give it as a baptismal gift. George has a couple of former Adventists on his staff. He understands the nuances of Adventist thought extremely wellóand he also knows how to explain our identity in Christ and how to live in it extremely well.

I've been reading both Classic Christianity and Growing in Grace. You can also subscribe to a podcast of sermons from his website which I listen to. I've been very blessed by his ministry.

In Him,

Richard
