The message our pastor spoke today was fabulous. It was on John 9 and reminded me so very much of my spiritual journey/Adventist experience and finding Jesus as my only source of security. It is the story of the healing of the man born blind.

Jesus SOUGHT out the blind man...the man did not even realize Jesus was what he needed to be saved from his blindness.

You know the story. Jesus spit. Made mud. The man rinsed it off...his eyes were open and he could see!

The man was excited. He had to share the news but the leaders who were responsible in leading him to God were not kind about his new eye sight.

While the man was defending his new eye sight he realized who Jesus really was...His Savior!

Once again - Jesus seeks him out and the man sees that Jesus is The Miracle!

Praise God that my salvation takes a miracle of God and that seeing Jesus as my Treasure is The Miracle!

Awesome...
Jesus seeks us.
Jesus heals us.
We recognize what He has done and we are grateful and excited!

Not so awesome..
The religious establishment gets angry--at the fact that Jesus lavishes so much grace on the undeserving who haven't been keeping the law--and at us for accepting what we don't deserve.
...Who cares what they think!!

Jesus is Awesome!

Thanks Dd.

Dd, thanks for sharing your sermon with us. I continue to be amazed that God literally awakens us and calls us into relationship with Himself. I would never have seen the truth about my life and my beliefs if Jesus hadn't miraculously given me His light.

Amazing.

Dd, I have recently come to understand that it is Jesus who seeks us(Jesus seeks him out and the man sees that Jesus is The Miracle!). I previously had the idea I had to do something first. But now like Colleen said, I feel awakened.

Thank you God for finding me!

I am not sure I was running away from God. All I knew was that I COULD NOT go back to being a Bible carrying, tithe paying, go to SS and church SDA. I was happier the way I was than I had been as the SDA I described above. Though I thought I was fighting the Holy Spirit here in Las Vegas, at the local SDA church, when my SS class volunteered to help at a series of evangelistic meetings and I COULD NOT!!!
I remember thinking, "I am fighting the HS. Am I committing the unpardonable sin??" Then God brought my attention to the Anderson web site and all that is history. I was not fighting the HS, I was cooperating with him. OH JOY!! Thank you God!! You are truly AWESOME!!!
