I consider the prayer chain a VERY IMPORTANT thing for us formers. So I move it every so often so that newcomers will not miss it. Here is what the prayer chain is about.
It is two years ago we started the prayer chain. We thought it was important to pray for our loved ones and friends still in the Seventh day Adventist church. We decided to set a day/days and time/times to pray, so this is what we did.
This is when we pray together, as a group, for our loved ones still in the clutches of the SDA church/Satan/EGW.
The first time we pray is Friday evening at sundown in our own time zones. The second time is Saturday afternoon at 1 PM, PT, 4 PM ET and what ever the time is in your time zone. On Saturday we pray as a group, even though we are scattered. But God is still in the midst of us and hears our prayers.
Here is our list of who we pray for:
1. All SDAs from the GC down to the smallest church in the world.
2. All unchurched members. All the agnostics, atheists and unbelievers who are former SDAs.
3. All those who are coming under the influence of SDAs through such things as the SDA friends, Revelation Seminars and baptismal classes.
4. All Christians who think SDAs are just another Christian church.
5. All those writing on R/S, Spectrum, CARM and similar sites.
6. All SDA children who are being exposed to The Clear Word for Kids, history of EGW at the early age of first grade and younger and other distinctive SDA doctrine that is not Biblical.
7. We pray for each other, that God will use us to teach others His love and about what Jesus did for each of us and that the Holy Spirit fill us.
8. Dirk Anderson and the hassle he is receiving from the White estate. That God will be glorified in what ever happens and that Adventism will be exposed for what they really teach.
9. That God bless our next reunion in Feb 2007.
We are physically separated, but spiritually we are one as we pray and God is in the midst of us, with the Holy Spirit taking our prayers to the Father. What a group we are connected with. It could not get any better, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
Matt 7:7 Ask and it will be given you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. v. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and the seeker finds, and to him who knocks it is opened. Berkeley Version, Modern English Bible.
We will be asking, seeking and knocking on Friday and Saturday, and in our daily prayers, for all our requests and God does hear us and answers us. That is a promise and God keeps His promises.
Join us at our prayer times Friday at sundown and Sat at 1 PM, PT. I look forward to all of us praying at the same time. God is receiving all these prayers at the same time. He is answering our prayers in ways we cannot see, at this time.
Our God is awesome.

Diana, thank you again for overseeing the prayer chain and the prayer requests on it for us to remember. I admire your faith and praise of God. We are all so grateful for you.

I have been neglecting the prayer chain. I'm happy that it is still going. I would especially like to have all of your prayers tomorrow at the appointed prayer time, because I have made a decision in my heart to admit to my mother (by phone, she lives far away) that I have been lying to her. I have been convicted that I have been telling "half-truths" where I acted like I was taking her grandson to Sabbath School when in reality it is Sunday School! It really is outright deception, and even though she is elderly and very set in her ways, I am convicted that it must be done. I will confess my lies, and then will have to see how much she questions me about what my beliefs are now.

PLEASE PRAY FOR ME!
Thank you everyone.

Praying Bb. God loves your Mother as He loves you. He will help you with what to say. It is not easy.
But remember how awesome He is and it will help.

Bb, I will absolutely pray for you and your mother's discussion tommorow. Believe me, I can so relate, especially about her age and so set in her ways.

Yes, God will give you the words that you want to tell her. I'll be praying for you.

Another addition to the prayer circle list:
All the lurkers here who are questioning their beliefs, those in the process of leaving and those who have left but do not know which way to go now.
God is always so awesome.

Hi All,
Well, I spent an hour praying before my phone call to my mom. Then at 3:00 Central I knew the prayer chain was going. I felt the prayers. God gave me peace after struggling with my fear.

My mother was so sweet and loving. I however, didn't give it to her all at once. I told her that I had been convicted that I had been lying to her all my life. I was raised strictly and I never wanted to displease her so I lied about many little things that I wanted to do. I told her that I was sorry for being deceitful for so long. She forgave me wholeheartedly. I then told her that I had lied to her yesterday when I told her that I take my son to Sabbath School. I said, really I take him to the Baptist church. She got quiet and said "I was afraid of that".

I told her that there was nothing more important than Jesus and my relationship with Him. That I wanted us all in heaven more than anything. She said she was happy to hear that. She said time was short, and told me some adventist books etc. that she was reading. I planted some seeds about my feelings of the adventists without outright bashing it. She cannot take it all in.

She was so forgiving and sweet and asked me to pray for her because she said she is such a sinner also. I talked to her about grace, and how I had never felt acceptable to God because I could never be perfect, and she said that I HAD to be perfect someday, with the help of Jesus.
I said "But doesn't that take away from what Jesus did in taking on our sins at the cross?"

I also told her about some of the things I thought about EGW and Danny Shelton, whom she looks up to very much. I said it is our duty to test everything and see what is right.

Anyway, this is a first step, and it was such a burden off of me to know that we can actually communicate about this! She needs Jesus' reassurance so much, I hope and pray that I can continue to feed her this. Our former conversations were mostly about the weather, etc. because I was always afraid to broach upon a subject close to this.

Thank you all so much for your prayers. Praise the Lord for leading me to this decision. Pray for her to find peace!

Bb, praying for your Mom and you, Oh Lord Jesus help Bb and her Mom, guide Bb to what to say to her and lift the cloud of deception from her Mom, let her see the real you, the real awesome and allmighty you, let her see that we can't be perfect, that we all fall short, give her a rest in you, a rest from all the work, and most of all save her, let me see her in heaven as well.

Jesus is truely amazing!

Hi Diana,

Thank you for being so faithful with these reminders! I'd just like to add to this list (not that they're not already covered, but specifically) the people who are receiving the special mailing of Proclamation! That God will break thru to ever soul who has the tiniest opening to truth.

Also that God will especially protect Colleen and Richard and all who work with and for Life Assurance Ministries as they deal with the phone calls and letters and spiritual attacks that have already started.

Thanks for letting me add on.

God truly is awesome!!!

Blessings,

Mary
