I don't see any major problem the fact that SDA Outreach had to change its name. Adventism is just showing its true face. Since they can't prove us formers we're wrong from the Bible they just do what they can: they use their money on lawsuits instead. Ok, some ex/former SDA-sites may be forced to change their domain names but in the end the exposing info is still available on a new secure website which the SDA church can't get to. They may force us to move but they can't get us silent.

Prinse,
I do agree with you about adventism showing its true face and that they cannot prove any formers wrong from the Bible.
And Gilbert, you are right on target also.
God is in charge and He is awesome.

Does anyone know statistics about SDA church growth in areas where the people are well educated and have internet access? It seems to me that it's going to be very, very difficult for SDAs to continue to grow among those who seriously do their research prior to joining any church.

In other countries though, growth seems to be for a different reason. I've a friend who runs a ministry in Haiti. She was one of my first Christian friends who knew exactly who SDAs are as far as problematic beliefs. Evidently many Haitian churches lean towards legalism and the SDAs are more open about their beliefs. But apparently a lot join Adventism because of their medical and educational work. It's a step up in a way out of poverty more than gospel conversion, at least in Haiti. I would think other third world countries may be seeing growth in Adventism for similar reasons.

Prinsen, My husband and I had the exact same conversation last night. I realize that it's inconvenient and problematic to change web sites, but at the same time, in the end there's just more junk on the SDA organization. When this all unravels...there's just more deception to prove it. (Sorta like the 1919? Bible conference, the ever changing print in EGW books, etc) It's all a bunch of cover up that sooner or later will influence someone else that there's something wrong :-)

Dennis - Interesting about Hitler being vegetarian. Curiously, was it only in Germany that the name of Sabbath school was changed to church school?

There is nothing deceptive, nor was there ever, anything deceptive about Mark Martins website or outreach.

If there is nothing wrong with Adventist doctrine, why are the Adventists trying to keep other doctrine away from Adventists?

A year ago, due to my Adventist teachings, I thought Mark Martin had hardened his heart to the truth about the Sabbath, and that he was blinded and unsaved (he crossed that line/likely the unforgivable sin). If he died after turning away from the Sabbath. He had become a hardened unforgiven Adventist persecutor.

When in fact, it was I who had somewhat a hard heart towards other Christians such as him. I had been blinded about the truth of Christ and His importance. It is Mark Martin who, through his ministry is trying to reach the fearful and confused Adventists such as myself for Christ.

He is not trying to reach out to former adventists to teach them how important a day of the week is.

Does Mark Martin teach Saturday worshippers will eventually hunt down and kill the Sunday worshippers even if it takes him 6 months to tell you?

Is Mark Martin teaching church people who worship on Sunday that they will be forced to work on Sunday? And worse?

Does Mark Martin teach that Saturday worshipers, if they don't convert to Sunday, will be unforgiven and lose salvation?

Does he preach the importance of Sunday worship? Of course not.

I searched something yesterday and exadventist.com fortunately came up high in the google search engine. I praise God for that.

I just did a search on the netscape search engine. I found M.Martin's web site at least 6 times with it's new name. I found it under Seventh day Adventist along with all the SDA sites and other sites talking about adventism.
Just thought I would let you know.

My best guess on why the SDA church does not want websites like this one and M. Martin's around is:
Church MembershipóWorld............................................................................................... 13,936,932
North American Division.................................................................................................... 1,006,317

and:

TitheóWorld................................................................................................................. $1,333,482,562
North American Division.............................................................................................. $762,318,495

Both statistics are off the NAD site.

Money talks!

or 13.8% of the membership paying 57% of the load. My assumption is that the North American Division may be the "more educated with internet access" you are asking about.

This is just a guess.

Thanks Timmy for posting the link. I also noted late last night on another site (not SDA sponsored) that the growth rate has slowed in the NAD to 1.4 or 1.14% a year. I do not remember the exact percentage. I will look up that site when I get home tonight and post the link.

Does anyone know about the Allegheny East and West Conferences? They refuse to pay their tithe to the GC and are seperate yet equal to the other "regular" conferences.
