TAGnet really does provide some good services to church and para church SDA organizations. I worked with them way back when and they were pretty helpful, and early pioneers in web technologies. Looks like they've signed an agreement with the GC to provide a set of "software" tools called netAdventist. Unfortunately it will also allow the GC and divisions to control much of the content that is communicated.

Hmmm... I was just thinking... Maybe we should create a software for us called "notAdventist". Get it? "netAdventist"..."notAdventist"...never mind. Must be getting late... :-)

I find the following two paragraphs in the article A-musing...

"Expanding Adventist witness online has been a goal of the Seventh-day Adventist church for several years. As one of the first Christian communities to harness the power of networked communications, going back to its innovative use of CompuServe, the Seventh-day Adventist church was also one of the first churches to establish an Internet presence in the early 1990s.

Since then, thousands of church institutions have published their own Web sites, while potentially thousands of others have been held back due to a lack of access to technology or the skills needed for complex Internet Web site design, management and publishing."

We are/were the first...Doesn't this prove we (sda) have the truth? Arrogant as always, we major in minors. We are the Remnant church. ebt

And look at how much they are attacking some of the 'anti' SDA sites? They're FOR technology as long as it makes them look good.

My, doesn't that sound cynical?
