Stan and Marti,
I am so sorry to hear about your dog. It's especially hard when it's so unexpected. Praying that God's comfort will surround the two of you during this difficult time.

Dogs are known to be man's best friend. Indeed, a very special "common grace" for humankind. Recently, at a medical center, a blind lady allowed her specially-trained dog to leave his mode of caring for her and allowed me to pet him (a beautiful, well-groomed German Shepherd). It was interesting to see how the dog was trained to go from one mode to another. I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Riverfonz. May you be comforted to know that God cares and sees your sorrow.

I'm so sorry for your loss. May the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort be with you both.

We lost our family Dobie (a sweet, big baby!) 2 years ago, so I know what a family member pets are and what a loss.

Love in Christ,
Cathy

I am really sorry too. I have a pug named Sukibird, I would be devastated if something happened to her! Can we post pictures here? I bought her and evening gown for Halloween...she looked so cute!

Thanks so much everyone for the abundant outpouring of your prayers and concern over our loss. Marti is sitting right beside me here in the computer room reading all the messages, and she is really touched!

It is so great to have a wonderful FAF family and we just sensed the prayers and support.

Marti and I are just now going to do a search of a poodle breeder, and we are going to reserve another standard poodle that may be named juniorfonz!

Thanks again everyone and God bless you all,

Stan

God is so faithful.

No sooner than we prayed for God to comfort us in our loss, He has also answered our prayers in providing an immediate opportunity to obtain a new puppy--just what we wanted, a standard poodle black puppy 9 weeks old, and we are headed up to Northern Calif to pick him up this Wednesday!

Marti and I are just delighted. She won't have to be alone at home after all.

Praise God for His faithfulness!

Thanks again everyone for all your prayers.

Great news Stan and Marti,

When I lost my Border Collie after 14 years, I was devastated. It took me awhile to really warm up to her replacement, but it is interesting to see some similar quirks, the way she moves, cocks her head, and interacts with my other dog. (an aussie). It is a heartwarming memory.

Keep us posted on JuniorFonz. Maybe Marti will even speak to us with some stories!

Stan and Marti--My sympathy with the loss of your beloved pet, We just recently lost an old but gentle, sweet dog who could beat me walking up the hill until almost the very end. I am surprised at how much I miss him. I'm happy you are getting
a new one so soon. Its wonderful how God looks after us!! Peggy

Thanks again all for your concerns and I am so glad that so many of you love dogs!

We know that God provided for us in a special way with this opportunity to obtain a new standard poodle puppy so soon. The usual wait on a waiting list for a puppy like this from a top show dog line is 6-18 months, but we were tipped off on this last available puppy by a friend from a breeder that only has a litter once a year.

This is an early Christmas present for us, and we are praising God for providing for Marti and me immediately.

Hi everyone!

Our new baby has arrived safely early this AM from Chico, Calif all the way to Anaheim by a special transporter of dogs (a retired truck driver whom breeders use to transport their pets). He is a warm and cuddly 9-week old black standard poodle pup. He is so loving. I spent all afternoon with him in the back yard.

Again, thanks everyone for all your prayers. God has provided this pet within 8 days of losing our beloved Riverfonz! This is not just luck. This is truly God's wonderful provision for us, and especially for Marti.

Now I have to run as he is making a mess downstairs!

I am glad for you and Marti that you got him so soon. That is truly a God incident. He is so awesome.

Tell Marti, Stan, that I'm happy that you got a puppy so soon. I was feeling particularly sad for heróI know that Riverfonz was completely constant all day, every day, when her phsyical health spun out of control.

Hey Bob!

I am so happy for you. Poodles are such wonderful pets. Is yours a standard or a miniature?

Last night was the first night for our new puppy, and he howled at the top of his lungs most of the night, so I have not slept well--But Marti just loves him, as he is such a sweet puppy--very smart also.

Stan,

He's our third poodle, and he's a miniature, so should grow to about 10-12 pounds.

We will be taking care of Evie (the border collie pictured at left) next weekend so they will have a chance to play. I hope it goes well.

I'm glad to hear that Marti is so pleased with your new puppy!

Bob
