You seem like a wonderful young man. I am glad you are here. If you feel like it...come on over to www.carm.org we are fighting the good fight for the Gospel over there. (you will see the SDA section under Heterodox).

Isaiah,

What a journey! It's so wonderful to see a young man like you leading the way for his family to the gospel of grace alone. It's difficult to go against your parents wishes, but I'm sure they have much love and respect for you...and look where it's going!

I will pray for you and your parents and look forward to your posts in the future.

Grace and peace to you.

Dear Isaiah, your story is very interesting. Did you ever or do you now live in Hawaii? I noticed you use Hawai'i'an words a lot in your posts. I have lived in Hawaii several times. I sort of figured you don't live there as you mentiond shoveling snow. When I was in 12th grade at the local public school I was accused of theft. The last semester of the school year when it was already hot we had to take swimming for p.e. I needed a swimming suit so my mother and me spent hours going from store to store at the mall until I picked out just the perfect one. Lo and behold, a girl who also was around my same build and weight and in the same grade went and told the p.e. teacher I'd stolen her swimsuit as I'd put on my new swimsuit for the first day of swimming. I was immediatelly sent to the vice-principals office. the v.p. happened to be best friends with my accussers father. I sat in that mans office from 1:00 p.m. until five insisting to him that I did not steel her swimsuit. All this time he kept telling me I had tpo get ahold of my mother so he could get me the punishment I deserved. I kept telling him my mother was at work and to leave her alone. Finily I guess he wanted to go home so I called my mom and she came to the school and told off the v.p. like I never knew she could. She told the principal he owed me an apology and she told him she'd go home and get the receipt and prove to him I was not a theif or a liar. And, she told the vp to nevert accuse me of anything agsain. I am only sharing this story to let you know that unjustices can happen in any sort of setting or situtation. I truly am spellbound by your story. And, yes, SDA Bible classes should be renamed Indoctranation Class.

A belated welcome, Isaiah, from another in Illinois. On my first month anniversary of living here, we got hit with the worst ice storm since 1978 so I've not had internet for almost a week. btw, I'm in central Illinois.

Aloha Aliza!

Its great to hear from another fellow central Illinois person. Just curious what town are you in? I only ask as Northwoods is in Peoria and we would love to have you. They have three identical services one on Saturday night at 6:00PM and two on Sunday morning at 9:00 and 11:00 AM. Visit their website at nwoods.org
Thanks for the words of encouragement!

Mahalo,
Isaiah

Decatur. Not close enough for church. <grin> Perhaps we can find a few more Central Illinois formers and get together some time, though.

nwoods.org, seems to not function in my webbrowser (Firefox 2.0) :-(

Why do people build all these websites with all these requirements, is it just to put stumbling blocks in front of people? ...

Just needed to get some air out on this issue.

I enjoyed attending the Park Meadows Baptist church in Lincoln Illinois when I was in that area this past summer... Pastor S.M. Davis has great preaching! That's like 45 minutes from Decatur though.
