Colleen,
After reading your post today in the "Counterfeit Church?" thread, I thought you might need words of encouragement.

I have been blessed by receiving Proclamation! I feel you present the gospel message as I have read it in the Bible. I am blessed by your wisdom on this forum. Please keep your chin up and continue to plant seeds for our God.

I have wanted to respond to the negative letters and emails you get. It does not bare good witness when letters have no resemblance of Christian love in them. I do not see love in the negative responses you are receiving now or have posted in Proclamation! in the past. I believe we see the fruit of their spirit.

May you continue to be a light for us formers and those searching. I am praying for you.

Colleen, Richard, Dale, Carolyn and the entire Proclamation crew:

I agree that words of encouragement are in order. These passages came to my mind for you.

Isa 59:19b When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.

Zec 4:6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This [is] the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.

1Sa 17:47 And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle [is] the LORD'S, and he will give you into our hands.

Gal 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

The Lord wants you to know that you're upheld by His Spirit and He's the one who will give the victory. His arm is mighty to save!

I've been blessed and refreshed TREMENDOUSLY by your steadfast ministry on this web site, this forum, through Proclamation and through the materials available from Life Assurance Ministries.

I'm just now in the middle of listening to "From Adventist to Christian," by Dale Ratzlaff. I'm on CD 2 of 4 and I'm really getting a thrill as I listen to Dale tell how the Lord led him and opened his spiritual eyes to see Biblical truths. What a delight to learn how God moved in the lives of those once faithful to the only 'truth' they knew, but didn't leave them there. We can trust God to work through circumstances and events to bring His chosen ones to His bosom in His timing.

Thank you so much for all you do!

Each of us have had our experiences with adventism and some of us have been hurt very bad. But what I have noticed is that as we heal, our words about our Adventist brethren is not harsh. The harshness is seen when we speak of the doctrine. When I read the harsh way the SDAs write to Proclamation, I want to tie them to a chair, tape their mouths and say listen to me and do not talk back(they can't with their mouths taped). Now, I know that is not God's way and I do have to admit that is what "I", and I am sure you see it is "I" that wants to do that. So, it is in my best interest to tell God what I want to do and relax in His arms and let Him do His job. He does it so much better than I do.
So Colleen and Richard, I will continue to pray for you and LAM and its employees. God is using you in a mighty way. I see God's love shining through both of you. God is blessing you and using you in a mighty way.
God, I am so thankful that you are so awesome. I thank you for Colleen and Richard and LAM and Proclamation.

I too, have been incredibly blessed by Colleen and Richard's ministry here online as well as by Proclamation magazine. I can understand how it would be discouraging at times. I also believe you know that you are following Jesus by sowing the seed, and letting the Holy Spirit reap the harvest in God's due time. Even if someone refuses the magazine at this time, seeds have been planted and you may never know who will remember what the saw in Proclamation and later turn to Jesus fully.

I pray for you in your outreach ministry to those trapped in Adventism. Rememeber Jesus said Blessed are those who are persecuted for My sake.

Love,
Susan

I felt such peace as I read the Bible verses (more than 30!) that Dale shared in his Proclamation article "The Gospel is Good News!" What a blessing! And I greatly appreciated Colleen's editorial about Jesus being more compelling than His shadow.

I cannot help but praise the Lord when I read such encouraging things! When Jesus is uplifted people will be drawn to Him!

Thank you, Richard and Colleen, for your integrity in the face of criticism and for allowing the Lord to use your ministry such a positive way.

Dear Friends - Colleen and Richard,

I received the new Proclamation today. I am sure the devil is working over time against you and LAM because of this special mailing. I am praying for God's hand of protection for you and your family. Your willingness to put yourselves in a vulnerable position attests to the strength of Jesus in your lives.

You both are angels in my eyes.

With love and admiration,
Denise

Colleen and Richard,
You will be getting a Christmas card with a note and a "bit of me" and then you will know who the guy that looks like a horse is.
Our love and prayers go with you.

Dear Colleen and Richard,

Your ministry has been a tremendous blessing in my life, and that of many of my friends. God is using you in a mighty way. You both have been a vital source of encouragement when I needed a guide to lead me across the desert that separates the cultic grip of Adventism from Christianity. I will be eternally grateful to both of you, Dale Ratzlaff, Dirk Anderson, Robert Sanders, Clay Peck, Mark Martin, Greg Taylor, Jerry Gladson, LeBron McBride, David DePinho and the many others that have encouraged me along the way as I studied my way out of Adventism, and into Christianity. The least that we can do is rally to offer you our emotional and financial support.

If we are faithfully following our Master we will be the focus of the devil's venom. The fact that you are getting these hateful responses from some of the recipients of the latest Proclamation mailing exposes which "spirit" these poor people are captive to. Like the demon-possessed in the gospels, the "spirit" within them can't stand the simple logic of Bible-based truth, and the accompanying conviction of the Holy Spirit. The "spirit" of the devil and the Holy Spirit are mutually exclusive. It's no wonder that they insist on removing the Holy Spirit from the Seal of God, and replacing His rightful chair with something God created -- the Seventh-day Sabbath. That is blatant idolitry. It is also perilously close to the unpardonable sin. They are guided by a different "spirit". "By their fruits ye shall know them."

Jesus left the "ninety and nine" and went searching for the "one". I have no doubt that He will use Proclamation to reach an even higher percentage. Even without Proclamation, by the denomination's own admission, there are over 300,000 Seventh-day Adventists breaking free of Adventism's cultic grip every year. I consider it to be the highest honor to be found helping the Holy Spirit leading these souls, that He died for, out of the "death grip" of cultic Adventist teaching. Jesus came to "set the captives free", and for this the Jews wanted to kill him.

The fact that these people are now noticing the impact of Proclamation means that it is touching hearts. God is using it in a mighty way. There is nothing that makes the devil more angry. Praise God for Proclamation!

Colleen and Richard
A couple of years ago I 'found' your forum while I was researching EGW. I had been confused by what the church was teaching compared to what I was reading in my Bible, and had started a search that was to lead me out of Adventism.

Here on this forum, I found, not only information, but encouragement and support. I found the strength I needed to write a letter to have my name taken off the church books, and to hold my ground when the pastor tried to pressure me to change my mind.
I love and follow Jesus, and I believe He used your ministry to help me through the confusion & to see clearly what I needed to do to be free.
I am ever thankful for your ministry. My prayers are with you as you continue in it.

Blessings
toria

To the dear family of saints at LAM,

I finally got a prayer journal the other day (so I can keep track with you Diana, of all God's gracious answers). As I was reading Scripture, I came to this text, and I knew it was for each one of you at LAM. Its now prominently in the first page of my prayer journal.

I Cor. 1:4-9

I always thank God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus.

For in him you have been enriched in every wayóin all your speaking and in all your knowledgeó

because our testimony about Christ was confirmed in you.

Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed.

He will keep you strong to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

God, who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.

Colleen--you have said before how powerful it is to hand write out scripture. When I wrote out that text by hand, and Ephesians 5:1-2, I was deeply moved.

You are all much loved and admired, by me, and by Him. In fact, you are His favorite.

Gilbert

I'm sure that there are a lot of us who feel like praising the Lord because we feel like we were the lost sheep that the Lord didn't give up on. Thank you for reminding us of how much we have to be thankful for.

Javagirl

Praising the Lord!!!! We will be with Him forever!!!

Thank you all for your prayers and support. One of the greatest miracles we have experienced in this ministry is the people God sends to pray for us and for God's protection of the ministry. Thank you all for your partnership in this work. We thank God for each of you and pray for you.

We love you and are so thankful to be part os Christ's body together with you.

I would like to add I thought this particular issue was a great outreach issue, and I would be interested to know how many new subscribers you get!

Curiously,

Colleen,
I also just got the recent issue of Proclamation! You continue to put together a well made magazine. My SIL also got one this time. Her first one. She is a teacher at an SDA school in Southern CA. I think her present mindset is perfect for recieving her first issue. My hope is that the seed is planted.

By the way, how did you decide who to send the extra mailing to? Also, just curious of how one gets on your mailing list? I know I started recieving the magazine several years ago, but never personally asked for it. Don't get me wrong, I am thrilled to be recieving it. How did you know?

Thank you again for all that you and Richard are doing.

Alan, the names are all given to us. Those who purchase books from LAM Publishing get the magazineóall other names are either direct requests or names submitted to us. We were given several mailing lists recently of various Adventist leaders and professionals, and we sent this last issue to this larger group of names.
