I just listened to this teaching on death and afterlife by Robert Morey:
http://66.70.167.149/audio/teaching/robert_morey_death_afterlife.mp3

I found it good :-) It deals mostly with Ecclesiastes and the background of this book.

Have a nice day, in Jesus,
Martin

Mwh,

Thank you for posting the link to Dr. Morey's outstanding lecture on Ecclesiastes. It would be ideal for every Seventh-day Adventist to hear this 45-minute presentation. Interestingly, Dr. Morey mentioned that when people finally leave the Watchtower, the last doctrine they let go is the JW view of death. The same holds for transistioning Adventists--including my case. Why is this? It is solely the result of being ignorant of the basic principles of biblical hermeneutics.

I would like to encourage all readers of this forum to take the time to listen to Dr. Morey's 45-minute presentation. You will be greatly blessed!

Thank you for posting the link to that Robert Morey study MWH. I just finished listening to it and found it very thought provoking, clear, and worthwhile.

I appreciated WHAT he had to say. And even more than that I appreciated HOW he said it: clearly, kindly, cogently. Instead of pushing us ahead, or dragging us behind, he brought us along with him as he spoke.

I agree, Mary. Thank you, Mwh. Dr. Morey's explanation of Biblical exegesis and of how to understand Ecclesiastes in the context of the whole Bible was excellent. He is a clear and careful teacher. Great link, Mwh!
