Thus Christ becomes our Sabbath of rest. This transcends our intellect. It is not enough to have the first two, the demons have knowledge of the first two, Matthew 8:29 And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time? Ask any Adventist if he has faith and he probably will say yes but is it true faith as laid down by the apostles? We must have that “rest” in order to truly be “in the faith” I think. Many have said there are Christians in the Adventist church, many have said they were Christians while still in the Adventist church when I have voiced my concern about that. I won’t argue those points. I disqualify myself from any such arguments. A form of Godliness but denying the power thereof might very well indicate that a person has the first two ingredients but not the third. Now that is food for thought. River | ||

River, Just being silly here: Did you know you can actually substitute applesauce for the oil in a cake recipe? I've tried it. Doesn't taste so bad but you know something good is really missing! I'll take the real, basic ingredients first, otherwise, I wouldn't dare call it cake. Olga | ||

Olga, Me just being silly too but if I baked a cake it would be a crime against humanity and I'd probably get life. No, I did not know that. Did it cause any grumping around the table? Or did they dare! One time after I first was married, I was in service and we were very poor and my wife boiled a bowl of pinto beans, now I was raised on pinto beans and as I lifted the spoon and the beans hit the air they began to peel and I knew they weren't done so I took one off the spoon and bounced if off the kitchen wall and my new bride went tearing off into the bedroom and fell across the bed crying her heart out. I knew that I had done the wrong thing, now I know to eat with a poker face. Ha. River | ||

When we had just returned from our honeymoon, my new bride made a jello dish which was molded to look like a sea shell and she put tuna in it, then served it with mayo on top. I gagged, smiled, ate it and said it was great. I lied! A week later, she served the same thing and I confessed that I thought it was horrible to my taste buds. I guess you all can visulize what happened next. Anyway, in line with the theme of this post, I would say that "truth" and "non-truth" do not mix well. Phil |
