The local pastor of the Gentry SDA church here is Arkansas reported yesterday that the NAD membership trend follows Europe, but about 10 years behind. He said that in Europe they now guage membership by how they are limiting their loses rather than how they are gaining membership. This local pastor reported his information form R.S. Folkenburg who was recently at a conference here in Arkansas.

I appears like the trend for the NAD is that membership will continue to slide.

Sorry, North American Division (NAD) of Seventh-day Adventist. Hot, humid and hopeful for rain. What part of AR were you from?

Van Buren county, went to high school at South Side then to Petit Jean Tech and then to college in Ca. I am a little spread out.
Kinda like the song by Johnny Cash "I been everwhere"

It has been in upper 70's to lower 80's here with about a week of rain last week.
I wore a long sleeve shirt to church this morning because it was a little chilly!

You sound like me. Born in Pennsylvania, moved to Oregon during my high school years then to California for College. I lived in Tx for a short time and now Northwest Arkansas. This has allowed me to experiance several types of SDA church types. None of which I want any part of anymore.

I can really understand that Alan. I have been in SDA churches near Loma Linda,La Sierra, CA in Alexandria and Manassas,VA, Florida, Wichita Falls, Tx, Montreal, Quebec, Canada and ones in between. Thank God He has me where he has me. When I am in Arkansas, I go to the Bible Fellowship Church with my son and his family.

My brother was a razorback. Got his undergrad and masters. My mother is from a town called Piggott. It's on the eastern edge of the state. So, I've spent many vacations in Arkansas. Unfortunately, I don't care much for demolition derbies, so there's not much to do...at least in her home town. :-)
