As many of you know I am taking Dale's booklet The Truth About Adventist "Truth" to many Evangelical churches in my city. Yesterday I took about 10 to different churches and this morning I had a call from one pastor asking me to share in a Sunday School class about Adventism. Then I talked with another pastor whose church has a large black community. Apparently there are quite a number of SDA's who come to some of the services and activities. He said he even co-officiated at a funeral of someone who was SDA (the SDA pastor worked hard to convince him that soul sleep was Biblical but that's another story!!). I have sent that pastor my testimony and am praying for that ministry. Possibly he may ask me to meet with someone who is questionning their beliefs. I thought that was so exciting.

I encourage many of you to get Dale's booklets and do the same - I am loving having the opportunity to connect with these churches and who knows where all this will go. The Lord does!!

Could you give a rundown on how you did it, such as, did you call the church first before you went?

What is the name of Dale's booklet? I forgot.
You have set me on fire to get some of these booklets out to the local churches.

Thanks for the good news.

Blessed, that is FANTASTIC! God is in this.

Richard and I have been having an interesting experience this week. A friend of ours who attends a certain Christian church and has a counter-cult ministry told us of the Southern California pastors' convention for his denomination this week. He asked us to join him in a booth at the convention.

We have gone down two mornings so far this week, and we've been handing out that same booklet, The Truth about Seventh-day Adventist Truth and copies of Proclamation!, especially the May/June issue with the trio of articles showing the Arian origins of the church, the identity of the Adventist Jesus, and the call to leave behind the "family altar" of Adventism.

We have had some interesting and seemingly significant conversations with several people already. In general, there is little understanding of Adventism, although some are curious because they have dealt with Adventists. On the whole, the pastors are happy to get the material and happy also for our talking with them. One pastor came to us this morning and said Adventists were certainly not as bad as the "others" (meaning LDS and JW). By the time we finished explaining soul sleep and the lack of Adventists' understanding of regeneration/new birth and of their fear of being lost in the case of giving up Sabbath, the man said about the SDA couple he had had temporarily in his church, "I wasn't worried; now I'm a bit afraid for them."

I am a great believer in witnessing to Christian pastors. They just don't know the truth about Adventism, and they and their churches need to understand for two reasons: 1) so the SDAs won't steal their sheep, and 2) so the pastors and churches will be able to minister to people who leave SDA-ism and look for a new home within their churches.

Amen Colleen,

You folks have two great areas of ministry to the churches.

1. The truth behind Adventism.
2. Share your knowledge of the covenants.

I have had the same experience as you did with the Pastor who came to you and of course it because of the parallel use of Christian jargon.

I totally agree with you, from where I sit I think education on the part of many Pastors and church workers concerning this is woefully short.

You know if each of you resolved to contact just one or two church Pastors well armed with materials, look what that would amount too?

Now I say you, but I include myself on that.
I am thinking of giving out the book along with a letter or some such with my name and phone number on the letter and then if they wish more information, I'll give them a packet of additional materials.

I tell you I changed my Pastors attitude about Adventism and now he will be alert.

Gilbert called me about the discussion of the use of my "Truth" book. I started a new thread before I found this one. Check it out.
