It is so good to be free. I am so grateful to God, for calling me out. I just want to encourage those who are on the fence, it will get better on the other side. This may be the only time when the grass is greener on the other side, but it truly is. I have had a really difficult seven days, but God has just poured out so many blessings in the middle of a tough week. It seems the bigger the problems, the more pain I have to face, the closer God comes. I am so glad God called me out when He did. It has been over a year since I left SDA, and it keeps getting better. I praise God for setting me free from a limiting religion, and from ritual and empty practices. I feel like I am just beginning to get to know Jesus. I liked being Adventist, but I love being a born again Christian even more. The struggle to leave is huge. The pain of uncertainty and the process of leaving is terrible. The reward is worth it. Its another Sunday, and I have been blessed beyond measure, to worship with others, to really WORSHIP with others who are alive in Christ Jesus. I am just so filled with gratitude toward God. I am filled with praise for Who He is, and what He does. It is good to be fully free. Come and see. Lori | ||

Lori, thank you for your post above. It is very encouraging, and I am thanking God for His work in your life! I totally agree with you. God doesn't just make us aware of problems and then leave us to shatter our lives by leaving. He literally walks with us and gives us Himself, and as you said, He gives us more and more of Himself and of reality the longer we are out and dedicated to Him. I am still overwhelmed at how God surprises me with confirmations of Himself and blessings that I would never have thought of on my own. Truly, there is no greater thing that knowing Jesus. AMEN, I join in with you, Lori! When I learned about the covenants it lead me to leave adventism - something I thought NEVER could happen! When I learned that sabbath, food-issues, tithe-paying, EGW etc has nothing to do with christianity, it was like a unknown burden fell of me. I felt like becomming a christian for the first time in my life! It truly was a conversion experience to me, which turned my life and thinking up-side-down. I now have a desire to worship God in a way I never had before, I love Jesus and what he has done for me! I love the song "Give me Jesus", now He has become my desire, not complicated theology. Praise God! | ||

I will second that AMEN to all of you. There is an abundant life after adventism and I am so thankful and grateful. I find it so easy to talk about God now. That is not something that I did as an adventist. I do have to say that I learned some of that in my 12 step program. God is soooo good and sooo awesome. Diana Diana |
