I see that just when Mark Martin was told by the GC to quit using http://sdaoutreach.org/ that a new pro-Ellen White site started up using http://sdaoutreach.com/

I also don't know what http://www.ellengwhite.info means at the bottom of http://www.ellengwhite.info/critics-bible-doubts.htm when they say

quote:

Where the Rest of This Page Went
Due to the threat of a lawsuit, the original version of this page had to be moved to "Some of Her Critics Would Eventually Doubt the Bible." We apologize for the inconvenience.

The link leads me to a new website with the "copy-cat" name of Robert Sander's TruthAndFables.com website called http://www.truthorfables.net/critics-bible-doubts.htm. So now www.truthorfables.com exposes Ellen White's errors while this new site, truthorfables.net, tries to defend them. Interesting...

There is also a specialized search engine that you might find useful at http://www.defendingthegospel.com/search/

Neat search site, Gilbert!

The sdaoutreach.com site has actually been around for quite some time, before Mark's domain was ever threatened I believe.

It's interesting that they told him he had to quit using his, but they didn't tell the same thing to the .com site. They sure don't seem to mind the .com site using "sda." ;-)

Gil,
Thank-you for pointing out the differences of the two web sites.
It sounds like the SDA is running scared because they are losing so many members.
If they are so worried about being sued then why did they move this page instead of not including it at all?
There is a saying "The truth will set you free", if they have the truth then they should not be scared about what others say, think, belive or a law suit.
Talk about talking out of both sides of their mouths. Trying to keep people confused.

Gilbert,

I read the truthorfables.net/critics site.

Now if you will excuse me while I go stick my head in the toilet.

I just spent some time at your links above, Gilbert, and they are countering Dirk Anderson the same way they defend Ellen: with selected statements pulled out of context.

I frankly have no idea whether or not the quotes they attribute to Dirk Anderson are true or not, but I do find it interesting that they try to negate his exposure of Ellen's falseness by attacking him. Attempting to discredit Dirk's personal beliefs in order to pump up Ellen's authenticity is truly a weak position. Obviously, if Dirk hadn't exposed a whole lot of damning evidence about Ellen that was real, the church would have felt no need to pursue this sort of counter-attack designed to deflect attention from the real problem: the woman who claimed to be a messenger of God, the woman whom the church has defended and calls a continuing and authoritative source of truth, plagiarized and contradicted herself and the Bible throughout her entire career. The claim to have been inspired by God is untenable; attacking Dirk in no way clears Ellen.

I pray that the spirit of Adventism will be exposed and broken, and I rejoice that Truth always has the last word.

are there any new numbers as to the growth/shrinkage of today's churches? SDA in particular? Or are those numbers unreliable?
