I had an uncanny experience last night of De’Ja vu.

Last night I talked briefly with a missionary to Djibouti, Djibouti which stands near the horn of Africa.

I was asking him questions and he how it was to mission that Muslim country.

As he explained how it was done I had the weird experience of Dejavu as to my ministry to Adventist, the methods are the same, the difficulties are the same, I had been using his methods right here in the good old U.S.A.

I won’t try to explain further, just to say that it was so weird.
He is another one that is completely unaware of the Seventh-day Adventist doctrine; he will go back over there and welcome Seventh-day Adventist as other Christians just doing a job.

I wanted to give him a book copy and letter, but didn’t have the chance before he left because he will be gone this morning and my material was at home.

My Pastor is reading the book, but hasn’t finished it, perhaps he will finish it by this Sunday.

Folks, please pray that he will give this book his undivided attention, as I said he is a very busy man.

I just thought you all may find this interesting.
Something happened there in that meeting with that missionary and I can’t explain just what.
I feel so strongly again this morning that something is happening with this book thing.

River,

Great post! Fascinating story.

I know what you mean about having your books loaned out. I have had my copy of SDA Fundamental Beliefs, Clear Word Bible and my 3Q 2006 Adult Sabbath School Quarterly on 1844/IJ loaned out now for the past three weeks to our Pastor of Education at the Baptist church we attend. Each week he asks if he can keep them for another week.

He is in shock over how Adventism presents itself to the Evangelical world vs what Adventism actually teaches doctrinally. He considers the Clear Word Bible to be an affront to God. I have already given him his own copy of Pasor Mark's "The Spirit behind the Adventist Church" DVD, Dale Ratzlaf's Sabbath in Christ, Cultic Doctrine and Truthabout SDA Truth, as well as Tom Mostert's 0+0+0+0+0=0 and other assorted papers. The Evangelical pastors are just dumbfounded at the depth of Adventist deception.

I am praying for your pastor, River. Your experience with the Djibouti missionary is fascinating and does not surprise me. Indeed, you are experiencing almost exactly the same thing. Wherever people are in darkness, whether the darkness of a "pagan" religion or the darkness of a false religion masquerading as true Christianity, the issue is the same: lost people do not know Jesus, and their particular brands of darkness are really the same darkness. Their beliefs have shaped their world views so they are veiled in their ability to preceive reality.
