I just got back from a service at my church--We sang had several people sing, and anyone who wanted to could say what they were thankful for. I didn't take part because I don't do public speaking well so I thought I'd write it here. Of course I have many things but the one that impressed me this evening was the joy I now have in Jesus and the freedom. I am so thankful and praise God for his love and grace! How about you--lets make a list Peggy

The joy, peace, serenity, freedom I have since Jesus came into my life is at the top of my mind.
I am even more thankful for Jesus. I am awed by what He did for me. Of course I am thankful for my immediate family, my church family, CR family and my family of former adventists I have met here on FAF and CARM. I can talk forever about how thankful I am to God. I will tell anyone what God has done for me. He is so awesome.

I had in mind picking one blessing especially--otherwise the list gets too long--not to minimize our blessings--it was just I am so thankful that I understand the New Covenant at least a little now
such a difference it has made in my life!!!

This silly little poem is going around , some people are so clever with words:

May your stuffing be tasty, Your turkey plump
Your potatoes and gray with nary a lump!
May your yams be delicious, your pie take a prize
Any may your Thanksgiving turkey
Stay off of your thighs!!

Happy day everyone Peggy

Peggy,

Since you want one blessing mentioned, how about this:

The Lord gave my wife and myself with the opportunity to meet you and your wonderful family. I have been blessed with 'little things' like you sharing why "Benevento" is your special name.

Phil--I am so happy you were able to come visit, and meet you
both, I hope some of us can get together this summer when
the weather is nicer in a more central place--We didn't have family here this year so I invited two friends and Sylvia and
John invited a couple and we really had a lovely time. Sopie rode her horse up to the house so they could get a good look at him,
and she even showed a little bit of what he could do, and they
knew enough about horses to appreciate her skill,or hers and Slides, and we had some of the apple cider they were making when you were here, and we thought of you! Peggy

Today was a wonderful family day, which, besides my husband and myself, includes my father, 2 daughters, 1 son, 1 daughter-in-law, 1 son-in-law, 1 granddaughter, and 4 very good friends. I am especially thankful that the Lord brought one of those friends into my life in a very unique way about 7 years ago. She has become my closest friend.

I am thankful for life long friends. We were invited to Thanksgiving dinner by wonderful friends we have knows since high school. One of whom we discovered a few months ago is a mutual friend of Peggy's. How incredible is that? Hope we get to meet you one day Peggy.
