Ask An Adventist - Christ Question #3

Here is a question to ask your Adventist friends:
Adventism teaches that in 1844 the cleansing of the heavenly sanctuary began. When was it defiled?

The question I intended to ask was,
Did Jesus have a sinful heart?

"He made the One who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." - 2 Cor. 5:21, HCSB.

"For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tested in every way as we are, yet without sin." - Heb. 4:15

Adventism has no clear Christology because they deny the existence of the spiritual world and because they do not truly believe Jesus is Divine in the same way that God the Father is.

They cannot say whether Jesus had a sin nature or not because sin to them is simply "the transgression of the law" (which is a mis-translation in the KJV from the Greek: it actually says "sin is lawlessness," which implies a condition, not simply an overt act). Thus, in SDA theology Jesus could have a sin nature and yet not be counted a sinner as long as He didn't commit an overt sin. This is heresy plain and simple.

Bskillet, that is a profound explanation. Wow! I can't wait to read more of your thoughts.
