Richard just put up the Nov/Dec Proclamation. It's also in the mail and should be starting to arrive sometime this week and continuing for two or three weeks depending on location.

You can access it here: http://www.lifeassuranceministries.org/proclamation/2008/6/index.html

Enjoy--and Merry Christmas!

This man receives sinners - Dale Ratzlaff

A bit OT but… reading the parable of the Lost Coin brings to mind the very moment when I ‘lost it’, sat up and took notice just how dysfunctional Adventist theology is.

It took place at an ‘Amazing Factoids’ presentation, the presenter was hammering away at the Sabbath ‘TRUTH’ and scripture twisting to make his point, for some reason this ‘twist’ really angered me: he morphed the ten coins into the 10 Cs, and the lost coin? You got it, THE SABBATH! He was so shrill that the 1, ONE, UNO remaining family (sitting directly in front of me) who had stuck it out, rose in unison (the wife was so angry she was crying) and left. The sum total of this ‘effort’ (to quote a certain conference president – 0+0=0) ZERO, ZIP, NADA but with a debt to a financially struggling church. By the way, absolutely no one ever mentioned what an absolute waste of time, and money this fiasco was, a wall of silence as though it never took place.

This single event was the ‘straw’ that prompted my exodus. That was three years ago, yet even today, just thinking about has me spitting nails

I am so grateful that at last I comprehend

Saved by God’s GRACE alone through FAITH alone in CHRIST alone.

Merry Christmas to all as we truly embrace the ‘Reason for the Season’.

John,

Just curious if that was my parents church (we've talked before). When you have time, email me @ stevendi@comcast.net.

John, I don't blame you. Twisting that parable to mean the 10 C's is insulting and overtly dishonest. Unbelievable!

Praise God for lifting the veil...such a miracle for ALL of us!

John,

When you get to the point you can chew nails and spit out horse shoes your in my category with stuff such as you mentioned.
You'll look back on a nail spitter with pity.
Merry Christmas John. Go Hogs!
