Before I ask the question I need to clarify the word stronghold.

The dictionary interprets the word stronghold like this: a place that has been fortified so as to protect it against attack.
synonyms:
fortress, fort, castle, citadel, garrison
"the enemy stronghold"

a place where a particular cause or belief is strongly defended or upheld.
"a Republican stronghold"
synonyms:
bastion, center, hotbed, safe seat

Having done that, do you believe that Adventism is actually a Satanic stronghold?

Quick quiz:

1. Adventism teaches the authentic Gospel of Jesus Christ.

A) No, Adventism as a system of belief teaches another gospel that is no gospel at all.

B) Yes, Adventism as a belief system is defined the authentic Gospel of salvation as proclaimed by Jesus and the Apostles.

2. Ellen White's Spirit guide was:

A) An angel of darkness masquerading as and angel of light.

B) A delusion.

C) A hoax/fabrication.

Results:

If you selected any "A" answers, then logically you believe that Adventism, as a belief system, is a stronghold of Satan.

On a related note, Paul uses the term 'stronghold' to describe what he opposes by his ministry:

"For though we live as human beings, we do not wage war according to human standards, for the weapons of our warfare are not human weapons, but are made powerful by God for tearing down strongholds. We tear down arguments and every arrogant obstacle that is raised up against the knowledge of God, and we take every thought captive to make it obey Christ."

Ignobleberean, that's the exact scripture that prompted the question. I was reading the bible and when I read that scripture I immediately thought of Adventism as a system as being a stronghold.

Previous to this I had thought of it as a cult, which it is of course, but thinking of it as a satanic stronghold kind of sheds a light on it that I hadn't seen before.

I was reading the King James version, but the version Ignobleberean gave says ' and every arrogant obstacle that is raised up against the knowledge of God. Adventism is an arrogant obstacle in the context of the true gospel falling on deaf ears.

I confess I already knew the probable answer Colleen would give. :-)
