Why was there no Seventh-Day Adventist religion before 1844?

Gilbert, I think the spirit of adventizm has been at work in the world for quite awhile. Look at this link, starting about 1/4 of the way down it starts listing many of the modern timesetters, Wm. Miller only being one of them, and many of the others also predicted 1844 as well! If you read closely, there are all sorts of dates set from 1750 right into the early 1900's. I never knew this info before.

My take? They might as well all have been millerites/adventists, as none of them would submit themselves to the Bible when it says "no man knows the day or hour".
