Hello All!

I just want to quickly share with you.

I have found a great movie called Paul The Apostle, (GoodTimes DVD, GT Merchandising & Licensing LLC, 2004. I only have what is on the disc. Sorry, don't have the jacket). I've rented it twice now. Some of you may have seen it, but if you haven't, I recommend it for a relaxing evening's blessing. Of course there is plenty of license taken. One would expect that. Underneath I can find the message that I'm looking for. The photography is beautiful. My husband even watched it with me last evening, didn't go to sleep and didn't make more than a few disparaging comments. When the apostles got to arguing about the law, he said, "Look, they've been arguing about it ever since then." I am praying that this may perhaps give an opening for more dialog.

I hope you can enjoy, as I have. I'm sure to rent it again!

Enjoy The Search!

Thanks, Pegg. Great recommendation.

While we're recommending, I'd also like to recommend The Visual Bible's "Matthew". It's the entire book of Matthew with no other script than the complete NIV text of the gospel. It is amazingly well produced and acted by a Christian producer in South Africa and a lead actor who is also a Christian, Bruce Marchiano, who currently travels a lot and speaks. We watch this movie every Easter, and it always reveals new depths and nuances. I guess that's because it's actually Scriptureóthe living Word of God!

A lot of details I've seen for the first time since watching the book "lived" instead of merely reading.

I can second that recommendation about the Visual Bible. In fact if you ever get the chance to hear Bruce Marchiano it is well worth it. He spoke at our Church last year and he was amazing and gave a very powerful testimonial of his encounters with Christ through the making of the movie.

It was a great seminar to hear, no EGW, no SDA doctrine, just the plain gospel! ;)

In fact the seminar series was recorded live and is available on DVD:

I agree, Mike. We heard Bruce at a local church a few years ago, and it was a holy experience, for lack of better words. God has given him a mission to represent Jesus and to tell the gospel. The stories surrounding the making of that movie are amazing. Many of them are available in Bruce's book, "In The Footsteps of Jesus".
