"Prophetic Signs that we are in the End Times
Contender Ministries
The Bible gives many examples of signs that should warn us of the coming end of the age. Six such signs are given by Jesus, two characteristics are given by Paul, and eleven other occurrences are given by the prophets to occur prior to or soon after the end of the age. While we are also told we will not know the time of the End, God obviously wanted us to know when that time was getting closer. As the Christian church is increasingly drawn into the interfaith movement, and as more and more churches go into isolation, preparing to sleep through the growing attacks on their faith, perhaps God knew it would take a few signs to wake us up and remind us that we have work to do.
Unfortunately, many Christians take the verses that tell us we won't know the time of His coming to mean they should ignore any and all scripture that might warn us of this time of tribulation. Others have fallen into the trap of fearing being labeled a "conspiracy theorist" should they display an interest in the Biblical prophecies about our future on Earth. My philosophy is simple. God included it in the Bible and, since God is all knowing, we should trust that it is something we should know and study along with the rest of His Word.
It is increasingly obvious that the time of our Lord's coming is drawing near. Prophecy is being fulfilled daily, and at a faster pace than ever before. Whether you believe in a pre-tribulation rapture, or believe Christians will be witness to the full tribulation, wrath, and final judgments, matters not. The beginning of birth pains and the signs of the times should have the same effect on all of us. It should motivate us to save as many souls as we can in the time that we have left. The Great Commission tells us to be disciples to all nations, bringing the message of salvation through Christ to all people. If the Church is raptured before the tribulation, it is important that we leave behind an explanation for the trials and judgments those left behind will face. How else will they recognize the deception of the anti-Christ and seek instead the truth of the Bible? If we are to endure the tribulation along side them, we will need to be prepared to not only share the message of salvation, but share with them the reasons for God's judgment and hold it up as further proof of their need to be saved.
Below is a study of the prophetic signs God gave us as a warning of the approaching end of the age. Many of them are being fulfilled now and many will be fulfilled in the near future. I would encourage you to study prophecy, know what is coming and be prepared to share it with others.
SIX SIGNS GIVEN BY JESUS TO INDICATE HIS COMING AND THE END OF THE AGE.
In Matthew24:3 Jesus was asked, "Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming, and of the end of the age?" Jesus told his apostles to look for the following signs prior to his second coming and the end of the age.
1. FALSE PROPHETS AND CHRISTS
Matthew 24:5 "For many will come in my name, saying, I am Christ, and will mislead many."
Matthew 24:11 "And many false prophets will arise, and will mislead many."
In the last several years many have claimed to be the Messiah. Jim Jones and David Koresh are examples of these false christs as well as countless others who are not as newsworthy. These false prophets are a prelude to the ultimate false christ, the antichrist. Many New Age groups, some even NGO's working for the United Nations, are anxiously awaiting the antichrist, preparing the way for his acceptance as the head of the hierarchy of gods and the one who will usher in world peace.
2. WARS
Matthew 24:6 "And you will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end."
Rumors of wars in all areas of the world now occur frequently thanks to instant media coverage and the availability of a multitude of 24-hour news sources.
Matthew 24:7 "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes."
More people have been killed in warfare in this century than at any other time in history. As the death toll rises in the Middle East, more and more countries work feverishly to develop devastating weapons of mass destruction. Add to that the expanding threat of terrorism and unpredictable dictators such as Saddam Hussein, and the potential for the outbreak of war exists in nations, kingdoms and places across the globe.
3. FAMINES
Matthew 24:7 "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes."
As white, Christian farmers are driven out of Africa in increasing numbers, and foreigners move in to replace life-sustaining crops with poppies that now supply 25% of the worlds drugs, famine spreads across the African continent. The undernourished are not limited to Africa, however. A large portion of the worlds 5 billion people suffers from a shortage of food.
4. EARTHQUAKES
Matthew 24:7 "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes."
The number and intensity of earthquakes this century is at a level higher than any other time in history. A staggering number of seismic events occur around the world daily. The earthquake seismic monitor IRIS shows all major earthquakes for the last year. Indicated by yellow and red circles, the seismic events of the last 15 days provides strong evidence of the fulfillment of Matthew 24:7 in our day. By contrast, in the years from 1890 to 1900 there was only one major earthquake in the world.
5. TRIBULATIONS
Matthew 24:8-9 "But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs. Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations on account of my name."
Christians are under attack throughout the world today. In the United States Christians still enjoy freedom to worship God without suffering much more than ridicule, hatred, or discrimination at work and school. However in many other countries such as China, Sudan, Africa, Saudi Arabia, Korea, Russia, and many Muslim nations, Christian suffer much greater persecution and often times death for their faith. During the tribulation this suffering will be worldwide and will continue even to the point of martyrdom. These first 5 signs will increase in intensity and severity as the tribulation approaches, much like the birth pangs or contractions of a pregnant woman worsen as the delivery time approaches.
6. THE GOSPEL WILL BE PREACHED THROUGHOUT THE WORLD
Matthew 24:14 "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world for a witness to all the nations, and then the end shall come."
This prophecy has already been fulfilled through television, radio, missionaries, the translation of the Bible into many languages, and the internet. People all over the world now hear the message of Christ from missionaries who have the means to travel the globe, and via technology that allows us to communicate with people on the other side of the world right from our own homes, churches and offices.
TWO CHARACTERISTICS OF THE END OF THE AGE FROM THE APOSTLE PAUL.
1. GODLESSNESS IN THE LAST DAYS
II Timothy 3:1-5,7 "But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of god; holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth."
For anyone who has watched television, read a newspaper, lost a retirement to corporate greed and corruption, or just walked outside their front door, it is obvious this prophecy has been fulfilled by our generation. Our leaders are often corrupt; our cities are filled with crime, brutality, and neon signs proclaiming our sinful, godless nature. The New Age Movement brings in increasing numbers of mystics who claim to be the enlightened ones. They are some of the most educated and influential people in our societies, and yet the most lacking in real truth.
2. APOSTASY (FALLING AWAY FROM THE FAITH)
I Timothy 4:1-3 "But the spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons. By means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron, men who forbid marriage and advocate abstaining from foods which God has created to be gratefully shared in by those who believe and know the truth."
Churches today are becoming more and more ecumenical, embracing the New Age interfaith agenda, and denying Christ as the only way to salvation. Giving in to the politically correct media and a corrupt society, they have embrace homosexuality as an acceptable alternate lifestyle and preach tolerance and compromise in place of God's truth for the salvation of the world. The environmentalist movement within the New Age movement lures them into a worship of mother earth, belief in past lives, reincarnation, and Karma while demonizing all those who would eat the meat God gave us as nourishment for our bodies.
ELEVEN FULFILLMENTS OF BIBLE PROPHECY REQUIRED FOR THE END OF THE AGE
1. EXISTENCE OF A 200,000,000 MAN ARMY IN THE EAST
Revelation 9:16 "And the number of the armies of the horsemen was two hundred million; I heard the number of them."
An army of that size had never existed until China's army reached that number in the 1960's.
2. REDEVELOPMENT OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE (EUROPEAN COMMUNITY)
Daniel 2:32-33 "The head of the statue was made of fine gold, its breast and its arms of silver, its belly and its thighs of bronze, its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of clay."
Daniel 2:40-43 "Then there will be a fourth kingdom as strong as iron; inasmuch as iron crushes and shatters all things, so like iron that breaks in pieces, it will crush and break all these in pieces. And in that you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter's clay and partly of iron, it will be a divided kingdom; but it will have the toughness of iron, and partly of pottery, so some of the kingdom will be strong and part of it will be brittle. And in that you saw the iron mixed with clay, they will combine with one another in the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, even as iron does not combine with pottery."
The fourth kingdom of iron is the Roman empire according to Daniel's interpretation of King Nebuchadnezzar's dream. The two legs are the division of the Roman empire into an eastern portion called the Byzantine empire which ended in the 1400's and a western portion based in Rome which ended in the 400's. The nations of Europe since the Roman empire dissolved have never adhered or formed one empire but continue as separate nations, however, the European Union now has 15 Member States and is preparing for the accession of 13 eastern and southern European countries.
3. RETURN OF THE ONE PURE LANGUAGE, HEBREW, TO ISRAEL
Zephaniah 3:9 "For then I will return to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the Lord, to serve him with one consent."
Prior to the restoration of Israel in 1948, Hebrew was a dead language. Now Hebrew is spoken throughout Israel.
4. REBUILDING OF THE TEMPLE, RESTORATION OF TEMPLE WORSHIP AND ANIMAL SACRIFICES IN JERUSALEM
For several end time prophecies to be fulfilled, the temple will have to be rebuilt.
Revelation 11:2 "Leave out the court which is outside the temple and do not measure it, for it has been given to the nations; and they will tread under foot the oly city for forty-two months."
Daniel 9:27 "And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolation, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate."
Daniel 9:26 "Then after the sixty-two weeks the Messiah will be cut off and have nothing, and the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary."
Some archeologists believe that the temple mount is actually 340 feet south of the Dome of the Rock site, putting the Dome of the Rock within the Court of the Gentiles. This may be the court outside the temple that is left out.
There are many groups already working on preparations for the new temple. The blueprints are already done, the temple garments have been made, and there have already been attempts to lay the cornerstone of the temple. The only thing standing in the way of the construction of the new temple is Islam's third holiest site, the Dome of the Rock and government support for such an undertaking. Some possible scenarios for the rebuilding of the temple are as follows:
1. The persuasion and performing of miracles by the Antichrist and False Prophet convinces the Islamic world to approve the rebuilding.
2. The United Nations will negotiate the rebuilding of the temple following a war with the armies from the North (Russia and Islamic forces). This assumes that the war with the armies from the North is not the battle of Armageddon as some feel and that this attack occurs before the rapture or tribulation period begins. The supernatural destruction of the Russian army and Islamic forces will cause an outpouring of Christian worship and zeal amongst the Jewish people who will reconstruct the temple.
3. It is determined that the site of the first two temples is actually south of the Dome of the Rock, and the court of the gentiles (Dome of the Rock) will be left out of the 3rd temple.
A group in Israel called the Temple Mount Faithful have obtained most of the clothing, instruments and other equipment required for temple worship and are actively preparing for the laying of the third temple's cornerstone.
5. APPEARANCE OF THE RED HEIFER AFTER 2000 YEARS
Numbers 19:2-7 "This is the statute of the law which the Lord has commanded, saying, "Speak to the sons of Israel that they bring you an unblemished red heifer in which is no defect and on which a yoke has never been placed. "You shall give it to Eleazar the priest, and it shall be brought outside the camp and be slaughtered in his presence. Next Eleazar the priest shall take some of its blood with his finger and sprinkle some of its blood toward the front of the tent of meeting seven times. "Then the heifer shall be burned in his sight; its hide and its flesh and its blood, with its refuse, shall be burned. "The priest shall then wash his clothes and bathe his body in water, and afterward come into the camp, but the priest shall be unclean until evening."
A red heifer will be required to be used in the process of purification described in the book of Numbers. In May 1997 the first Red Heifer was born in 2000 years. Another red Heifer was born in Israel in March of 2002.
6. INCREASE IN KNOWLEDGE AND TRAVEL
Daniel 12:4 "But as for you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the book until the end of time; many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase."
Billy Graham was quoted as saying, "ninety percent of all the engineers and scientists who have ever lived are alive today." Air travel, space travel, DNA research and human cloning are all examples of the rapid increase in knowledge in our generation.
7. RETURN OF THE ETHIOPIAN JEWS TO ISRAEL
Zephaniah 3:10-11 "From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia My worshipers, My dispersed ones, will bring My offerings. In that day you will feel no shame because of all your deeds by which you have rebelled against Me; For then I will remove from your midst your proud, exulting ones, and you will never again be haughty on My holy mountain."
In 1984, Operation Moses saw the airlift of 15,000 Jews who had already fled to refugee camps in Sudan to escape starvation. In 1991, Operation Solomon flew 20,000 Jews to Israel from Ethiopia itself. A further airlift began in June of 1999, aimed at transporting the last 3,000 members of the Quara Jewish community from northeastern Ethiopia to Israel.
8. THE RISE OF RUSSIA
Ezekiel 38:2,4,8 "Son of man, set your face toward Gog of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him. I will turn you about and put hooks into your jaws, and I will bring you out, and all your army, horses and horsemen, all of them splendidly attired, a great company with buckler and shield, all of them wielding swords. After many days you will be summoned; in the latter years you will come into the land that is restored from the sword, whose inhabitants have been gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel which had been a continual waste; but its people were brought out from the nations, and they are living securely, all of them."
In order for some end time events to occur Russia will have to be a strong nation with a strong military.
9. RETURN OF RUSSIAN JEWS TO ISRAEL
Jeremiah 23:7-8 "Therefore behold, the days are coming declares the Lord, when they will no longer say, as the Lord lives, who brought up the sons of Israel from the land of Egypt, but as the Lord lives, who brought up and led back the descendants of the household of Israel from the north land and from all the countries where I have driven them. Then they will live on their own soil."
In the 1970's and 1980's there was a mass exodus of Russian Jews out of Communist Russia. In 1999 the Associated Press reported a dramatic increase in the number of Jewish immigrants from Russia, bringing the largest number of Russian Jews to Israel since the early 1990's.
10. TECHNOLOGY FOR THE MARK OF THE BEAST
Revelation 13:16-17 "And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves to be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name."
On May 10, three members of a family in Florida became the first people to receive the biochip implant. Each device, made of silicon and called a VeriChip, is a small radio transmitter about the size of a piece of rice that is injected under a person's skin. It transmits a unique personal ID number whenever it is within a few feet of a special receiver unit. VeriChip's maker describes it as "a miniaturized, implantable, radio frequency identification device (RFID) that can be used in a variety of security, emergency and healthcare applications."
Is the biochip the mark of the beast to be used by the antichrist? We can't really know. What is significant is that people are being softened to the idea of a mark or an implant as a means of maintaining security, providing medical information, and regulating a more interdependent world. As attitudes change, fears subside, and people are convinced of the need for such a mark, the true mark of the beast will be easily introduced to the world by the antichrist.
11. PLANS FOR THE ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT
The United Nations, World Trade Organization, International Criminal Court, UN peacekeeping/police force, numerous UN NGO's, and other agencies are preliminary steps to the formation of a one world government. We now have the communications technology, transportation, and the pro-globalization media necessary to usher in the one world government headed by the antichrist. The increasing terrorist threat and the middle east conflict will only speed up the formation of this governing body as fear and promises of better security make more people willing to give up their national sovereignty for global governance.
12. INSTANT COMMUNICATION AROUND THE WORLD
Revelation 11:3, 7-10 "And I will grant authority to my two witnesses, and they will prophecy for twelve hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth. When they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up out of the abyss will make war with them, and overcome them and kill them. And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which mystically is called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified. Those from the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations will look at their dead bodies for three and a half days, and will not permit their dead bodies to be laid in a tomb. And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them and celebrate; and they will send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth."
Television and the 24-hour news networks make it possible for people around the world to see the dead prophets and rejoice at their deaths.
Luke 21:28 "But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near."
Luke 21:32 "Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all things take place."

You had mentioned the New Age teaching regarding the 'Aquariun age vs Piscean age' and I had posted above this particular article, well at least the site address with instructions to get to this article. ""THE NEW AGE INFLUENCE AT THE UNITED NATIONS - #3 in a series.

In recent years, we have seen an alarming rise of ecumenism and moral relativity in the western world. In an age where evangelical Christianity ñ and for that matter, Judaism ñ is seen as too ìintolerantî or ìdivisiveî for a civilized world, interfaith movements, the New Age Movement, and Unitarian Universalism are gaining in popularity. Nowhere is that more evident than within the United Nations. In researching this article, I have become convinced that influential powers at the United Nations are now paving the way for the Antichrist. What you will read in this article will be but a sampling of some of the most insidious evil I have ever read. If you are a Christian, you may find this article unsettling. However, I feel very strongly that it is imperative to make Christians aware of the powerful New Age influence at the United Nations. One other important point ñ I did not base this article on research performed by so-called ìconspiracy theoristsî. The reams of documentation from which this article is based came from official sources ñ the horseís mouth, so to speak.
Let me lay some brief groundwork here. The United Nations (which was started on October 24, 1945) exists as an official pseudo-governmental body. There are however, scores of advisory committees, boards, and other non-governmental organizations (NGOís) upon which the U.N. relies heavily. The two organizations I will be discussing in-depth are NGOís that provide assistance, advice, and counseling to the U.N. officials and staff. They are the Aquarian Age Community and the Lucis Trust. The Aquarian Age Community (AAC) holds their meetings within a conference room at the United Nations building. How involved is the AAC at the U.N.? Take your answer from the AAC itself:
We have an informal network at the UN, a humanity underground. It consists of those who are committed, aware, and striving to bring the New World to birth. It consists of people in high places and in low-of the patient secretary who has been 30 years with the UN, but lives with the vision and the spirit; of the professionals, and undersecretaries and heads of departments who are acting out the imperatives that their own inner vision gives them. Some few are conscious of the sources of their inspiration; most are not. They are the Karma Yogis of our time-those whose path of spirituality is to achieve through doing-to grow through serving. They are found not only in the secretariat but also in the delegations to the UN, among the diplomats and their staffs, and also among folks like us, representatives of non-governmental organizations around the UN.1
So what does the AAC believe? What is its theology? To what form of ìspiritualityî do they refer? The AAC is a New Age organization. The only form of divinity they recognize comes from within each person, when they are at ìonenessî with everyone and everything else. They practice meditation and astral projection, and accept direction from spirit guides. One of their most revered spirit guides is referred to by many names, and was the spirit guide of Lucis Trust founder Alice Bailey. This spirit guide is called ìThe Tibetan Master, Djwhal Khulî, or sometimes just ìThe Tibetan Masterî. The AAC meets regularly at the U.N. and discusses New Age spirituality. They open their meetings with meditation. One of their purposes as outlined in their mission statements is to ìpromote the work of the United Nations as it seeks to uplift and improve life on our planetî. Another purpose they list is to ìcooperate and collaborate with the worldwide community that is actively preparing the way for the reappearance of the World-Teacher ñ the Christed (Anointed) One, the true Aquarian.î 1
Donít be fooled by their use of the word ìChristî or ìChristedî. They do NOT recognize the deity of Jesus Christ. They believe Jesus was a great teacher, and more in touch with his godhood than most humans are. The AAC believes in evolution ñ both physical and spiritual. They believe that humans have evolved physically to this point, and the next step in human evolution is spiritual. These people admire Jesus as having been more evolved than most, but do not be confused when they speak of Christ. Be assured that they are not referring to the same Christ we know. If fact, when they refer to ìthe Christî, they say this:
ìFrom direct experience of the shifting energies, it is possible to recognize that we are progressively moving toward the long awaited Aquarian Age-the Age in which we expect and look for the reappearance of the World Spiritual Teacher. This Great Being has been referred to by such names as the Christ, the Bodhisattva, the Lord Maitreya, and the Imam Mahdi. Many today realize that His interest and concern is not restricted to the field and department of religion, but is concerned with the whole of Life. He is known to be the great Lord of Love and Compassion, the Master of the Masters, the Instructor of the Angels and the "One for Whom all the nations wait." And, this Great Being is also known under such additional titles as the True Aquarian, the Pilgrim, the Healer and the Thinker.î1
Christ is "the embodied soul of all love within our planet".
Christ as a Great Initiate appeared on our planet 2,000 years ago and this same great Being will reappear again. He is the only such Teacher who will have been with humanity during two astrological cycles-the Piscean and the Aquarian.
This time, there will also be an awakening from within many individuals so that the Christ will not just be an outer manifestation, but it is also a great inner happening. The christ nature which is another way of referring to spiritual love will awaken in humanity. This must happen before there can be the reappearance of the Great Teacher in physical form.
He, or She, may return in the field of science or politics or finance, and most likely not in the field of religion. Certainly this Great Being will work in an arena where the highest good for the whole of the planet can be accomplished-where greater numbers of His/Her workers can be found preparing the Way by laboring for the common good.1
The reappearance will take place on many different levels. There will be a Great Being who will be recognized as the World Spiritual Teacher. Also, this Great Being will bring a vortex of planetary and cosmic energy that will be available to those who can respond to it, inspiring and strengthening the cause of all that which is Good, True and Beautiful. The reappearance also refers to the expression of the christ or love nature within humanity. It refers to the birth of the christ nature (the soul) within the "cave of the human heart" (the physical plane). 1
It is my contention that this ìgreat teacherî or ìgreat beingî for which the AAC waits will indeed appear. However, unlike the grand personage they describe, the one they describe will be the Antichrist. For further evidence of this, the AAC states that those of us looking for the second coming of our Lord will not recognize the teacher for whom they wait:
He has been for two thousand years the supreme Head of the Church Invisible, the spiritual Hierarchy, composed of disciples of all faiths. He recognizes and loves those who are not Christian but who retain their allegiance to their Founders--the Buddha, Mohammed, and others. He cares not what the faith is, if the objective is love of God and of humanity. If men look for the Christ Who left His disciples centuries ago they will fail to recognize the Christ Who is in process of returning. 1 [Emphasis Added]
The AAC also gives us a clue as to the location from which they see the Antichrist originating:
It may interest you to know that the Christ has not yet decided what type of physical vehicle He will employ should He take physical form and work definitely upon the physical plane. He waits to see what nation or group of nations do the most work, and the most convincing work, in preparation for His reappearance. 1
The AAC sees the United Nations as a great catalyst for bringing about the New World Order and paving the way for the return of their great teacher (Antichrist). For instance, take heed of their words of vision of and for the UN:
The UN can be a place for education along spiritual lines (within the UN itself and in the world. 1
The UN is the largest publisher in the world and it can provide a vast amount of information about the planet and its people. 1
The UN should have oversight over all the armaments of the world. 1

Also, as individuals, we can urge our government to pay its dues so the UN can move forward with its mission, which is essentially a spiritual one: to bring humanity together as a unified center of consciousness. 1
Another purpose of the UN concerns education; through changes in education such as introducing school children to the principles and values of the UN (which are inherently spiritual although not religious, per se) children can be assisted in their spiritual development. 1
Education is key. We should influence the government to teach goodwill in schools. Community access Cable TV programs are also a way to educate the public. We should utilize these means of helping to educate public opinion. 1
The time has now come when money must be reevaluated and its usefulness channeled into new directions. ...Until these things are in process of being righted, the return of the Christ is not possible. 1
In a few short yearsÖthe United Nations has succeeded in: acquiring a spiritual Initiate at its helm (thus acknowledging increasing perception, unconscious though it may be, on the part of world representatives) ñ re-orienting the attitudes of even the most recalcitrant delegates to consideration of the Whole, as demonstrated by the policies and actions taken to this end its main bodies ñ establishing branches worldwide that give hope and aid to the masses ñ giving rise to spiritual activities both through NGOs and UN staff, including senior delegates as well as delegates from international organizations such as the World Bank. 1
In case the above list got monotonous, please go back and read those items. The information within is startling and disturbing. The AAC is NOT shy about its New Age spiritual agenda, or that of the United Nationsí official body. Probably the biggest obstacles to the absolute fulfillment of this New Age agenda are what the AAC views as divisive religions like Judaism and Christianity. Their solution for the UN to overcome these obstacles is as follows:

In other words, the AAC envisions one global religion based on their New Age beliefs, that would replace all existing religions ñ including Christianity. The information presented above is a sampling of information obtained from the AAC that clearly demonstrates their New Age beliefs and their involvement with the United Nations. Their goal of paving the way for the ìChristed Oneî depends on the religious globalization efforts of the UN. How does the Lucis Trust fit into all this?
The Lucis Trust, incorporated originally in New York as the Lucifer Publishing Company, was founded by Alice Bailey ñ an occultist. Lucis Trust is a United Nations NGO and has been a major player at the recent U.N. summits. Later Assistant Secretary General of the U.N. Robert Muller would credit the creation of his World Core Curriculum for education to the underlying teachings of The Tibetan Master, Djwahl Kuhl via Alice Bailey's writings on the subject.

The New Age spirituality that pervades the U.N. is clear. It is also clear that forces are at work to pave the way for the appearance of the Antichrist. Being a new Christian and getting rid of the EGW & SDA baggage is what I have been working on as well as learning what the Bible really teaches.
I do know that no one knows the day of the hour of Christ's return and that every eye shall see him. I develop my relationship with God every day and when those other things happen, God will get me through them.

Diana, I understand the need to un-learn what we learned in the SDA Church. It really has done us alot of harm in many ways and I'm truly grateful to this site as it was this site that has helped me most in the re-learning process. As to studying the Bible, the first thing is the milk of the Word of God. Never Forget the Gospel for it is your Salvation. We have a great God in Jesus Christ and I know my heart has been forever changed by the Gospel. Hallelu-JAH!

"SPECIAL NOTE: The Number One story of the week was not Senator John Kerry's nomination as Democrat Presidential Candidate, but a relatively unknown story about the Iraq war written by renowned British journalist, Robert Fisk. Therefore, it is at this point we shall start our newsletter.
I. The Pentagon and Bush Administration are waging a secret war in Iraq -- a war with devastating consequences and one which is not being reported in major Mass Media.
NEWS BRIEF: "Unreported war: US document reveals scale of conflict not revealed to journalists", By Robert Fisk, Independent.co.uk, July 29, 2004
"Iraq, we are told by Mr Blair, is safer. It is not. US military reports clearly show much of the violence in Iraq is not revealed to journalists, and thus goes largely unreported. This account of the insurgency across Iraq over three days last week provides astonishing proof that Iraq under its new, American-appointed Prime Minister, has grown more dangerous and violent."
We have long believed that Bush Administration officials and the Pentagon were badly underreporting the story in Iraq. From the beginning, we could only see tiny snippets of information which led us to believe this to be the case. However, we could not get substantive reports to verify our suspicions. Now, British journalist Robert Fisk provides that substantive verification. After making this opening statement, Mr. Fisk then lists the true account of events in Iraq, almost all of which were NOT reported in major media. Some of the examples Fisk gives below as being under-reported, were in our Daily News Updates, for we found these stories in minor overseas media; however, the vast majority of Americans and British never saw these stories.
As you read this information, your heart will break for the poor servicemen put in harm's way by an American President and a British Prime Minister who led their respective nations into war based upon lies, exaggerations and bluster (Read the full account in NEWS1890 and NEWS1890b).
Mr. Fisk reports actions from three days: July 20, 22, 23, NOT reported in major media:
20 July
Baghdad -- A US aircraft was attacked by a surface-to-air missile over Baghdad airport. An improvised explosive device detonated under a bridge near al-Bayieh fire station. A second bomb exploded when the "Facility Protection Service" arrived. In other areas, there were four bombings, three RPG assaults and six gun attacks, almost all on US forces.
North of Baghdad -- A civilian supply convoy was attacked at Samarra. A bomb exploded on a bus in Baquba, killing six. A mine went off in Balad. A US convoy was attacked with RPGs and gunfire at Salman Pak. There were roadside bombings of US forces at Mandali, Samarra, Baquba, Duluiya and Muqdadiyeh, and three grenade attacks (at Tikrit, Samarra and Kirkuk, with shootings at Muqdadiyeh, Balad, Hawija, Samarra, Tikrit and Khalis.
West of Baghdad -- An American foot patrol set off a landmine at Khalidiya. A civilian tractor hit a mine at Hit. There was an RPG attack on a school in Karmah. Roadside and other bombs also detonated in Fallujah, Hit, Ramadi and Qaim. There were also attacks on US troops at Hit, Karmah, Saqlawiyeh and Ramadi.
South of Baghdad -- International troops discovered two 107mm rockets aimed at the house of the governor of Diwakineh, and a roadside bomb detonated near Iskanderiyeh. In Basra, the city council co-ordinator and his three bodyguards were killed near a police checkpoint by three men in police uniform.
July 22
Baghdad -- Two roadside bombs exploded next to a van and a Mercedes in separate areas of Baghdad, killing four civilians. A gunman in a Toyota opened fire on a police checkpoint and escaped. Police wounded three gunmen at a checkpoint and arrested four men suspected of attempted murder. Seven more roadside bombs exploded in Baghdad and gunmen twice attacked US troops.
North of Baghdad -- Police dismantled a car bomb in Mosul and gunmen attacked the Western driver of a gravel truck at Tell Afar). There were three roadside bombings and a rocket attack on US troops in Mosul and another gun attack on US forces near Tell Afar. At Taji, a civilian vehicle collided with a US military vehicle, killing six civilians and injuring seven others. At Bayji, a US vehicle hit a landmine. The Americans said gunmen murdered a dentist in at the Ad Dwar hospital. There were 17 roadside bomb explosions against US forces in Taji, Baquba, Baqua, Jalula, Tikrit, Paliwoda, Balad, Samarra and Duluiyeh, with attacks by gunmen on US troops in Tikrit and Balad. A headless body in an orange jump-suit was found in the Tigris; believed to be Bulgarian hostage, Ivalyo Kepov. Kirkuk air base, used by US forces, attacked.
West of Baghdad -- Five roadside bombs on US forces in Rutbah, Kalso and Ramadi. Gunmen attacked Americans in Fallujah and Ramadi.
South of Baghdad -- The police chief of Najaf was abducted. Two civilian contractors were attacked by gunmen at Haswah. A roadside bomb exploded near Kerbala and Hillah. International forces were attacked by gunmen at Al Qurnah.
July 23
Baghdad -- A US military convoy was mortared and a grenade thrown. There were seven roadside bomb attacks and five gun attacks on US forces.
North of Baghdad -- A man threw a grenade at a US convoy at Tell Afar. Two gunmen killed an officer in the new Iraqi Army in Mosul. American troops also came under RPG fire in Mosul. Gunmen attacked a convoy of western mercenaries south of Samarra, a civilian convoy was attacked at Baquba. A former Iraqi army officer, former Major-General Salim Blaish died in a drive-by shooting in Mosul. Americans detained two men who had fired a rocket from a truck in Balad. There were three roadside bomb attacks on Americans in Baquba, Balad and an RPG attack at Kirkuk.
West of Baghdad -- A roadside bomb against US forces at Rutbah. Gunmen also attacked the Americans in Khalidiyeh and Fallujah.
South of Baghdad -- The Mussayib power station was mortared and roadside bombs exploded at Iskanderiyeh and Mussayib."
This is a lot of activity not to be reported in major Mass Media - in just three days. We now come to the realization that a lot of censorship is going on in Iraq, and that if the truth were ever widely known, a lot of voters would be persuaded not to vote for President Bush. Further, now that we have learned from Mr. Fisk that we are not being told the entire truth about the military conflict being waged in Iraq, this next story takes on new credibility.
NEWS BRIEF: "2,000 U.S. troops killed in Iraq: Russian expert", By Vladimir Radyuhin, The Hindu, India's National Newspaper, July 24, 2004
"MOSCOW, JULY 23. The United States suffers far heavier casualties in Iraq than it officially admits, a Russia military diplomat claimed. The actual U.S. military losses in Iraq may have reached 2,000 personnel, more than twice the official figure of 900, as Washington badly understates its casualty statistics, a military diplomatic source told the Itar-Tass news agency."
This official figure of 900 is a death toll; therefore, the figure of 2,000 in this story is also a death toll. Furthermore, the Pentagon is playing games with the way they report deaths and casualties related to Depleted Uranium poisoning. If these figures were included, our total death and wounded toll would likely reach upwards to the 10,000-12,000 level as reported seven full months ago by retired Colonel David Hackworth. Listen carefully and weep.
NEWS BRIEF: "Saddam's in the slammer, so why are we on orange?", by Col. David Hackworth, Ret., WorldNetDaily, December 30, 2003
"Almost daily we're told that another American soldier has sacrificed life or limb in Iraq ... Even I ñ and I deal with that beleaguered land seven days a week ñ was staggered when a Pentagon source gave me a copy of a Nov. 30 dispatch showing that, since George W. Bush unleashed the dogs of war, our armed forces have taken 14,000 casualties in Iraq ñ about the number of warriors in a line tank division. We have the equivalent of five combat divisions plus support for a total of about 135,000 troops deployed in the Iraqi theater of operations, which means we've lost the equivalent of a fighting division since March. At least 10 percent of the total number of Joes and Jills available to the theater commander to fight or support the occupation effort has been evacuated back to the USA!"
"Lt. Col. Scott D. Ross of the U.S. military's Transportation Command told me that as of Dec. 23, his outfit had evacuated 3,255 battle-injured casualties and 18,717 non-battle injuries ... Ross cautioned that his total of 21,972 evacuees could be higher than other reports ... I think it's safe to say that, so far, somewhere between 14,000 and 22,000 soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines have been medically evacuated from Iraq to the USA."
These figures mean that at least 10% of American forces in Iraq have now been either killed, wounded, or felled by "non-hostile" mysterious ailments that have required the Pentagon to evacuate them from Iraq! The original Roman Empire created the doctrine that, if 10% of their force was put out of action during engagement with an enemy force, the Roman unit was considered "decimated" (key word was "decimal" which denoted increments of 10). By this Roman definition, our troops in Iraq are already decimated. These figures of dead and wounded are seven months old; how many more men have we lost since then?
President Bush can only hope that the real truth about Iraq stays well hidden until after the November election!
II. Senator John Kerry accepted the nomination of the Democrat Party Thursday night. Before we get into the meat of the Democrat convention, we need to strongly reiterate that the Presidential contest is now Bonesman against Bonesman! Both Senator John Kerry and President Bush are life-long Adepts in the Satanic secret society known as Skull & Bones (Read NEWS1314 for a brief sketch as to the nature of Skull & Bones). President Bush is of the Class of 1968, while Senator Kerry is of the Class of 1966 ["Fleshing Out Skull & Bones", p 676 and 682].
Skull & Bones is a "Brotherhood of Death" secret society ("America's Secret Establishment", Antony Sutton, p. 5). This fact is devastatingly important because New Age author, Bill Cooper, reports that "The Thule Society" from Germany is one of the "Brotherhood of Death" societies. Believe it or not - like it or not - both Bush and Kerry have undergone the same Satanic rituals as did Adolf Hitler! But, why should Cutting Edge readers be surprised, for we long ago revealed that the Bush New World Order is identical to the Hitler New World Order! (Seminar 1, "America's Leadership of the New World Order" and NEWS1004).
Therefore, the stark reality is that the drive to the New World Order will continue no matter who is elected President. We believe it likely that a deliberate campaign to discredit Bush may be under way in order to justify to the people why he is defeated in the November election. Remember, we are not predicting anything, but if the trends we see continue, President Bush may be replaced in November with Senator Kerry.
But, as we stated, above, it will not matter one whit, for critically important policies will continue as before. All differences between the two parties are mere labels, just window dressing. Never, ever forget this sad fact. As time proceeds through the election, we shall highlight the instances in which Kerry's policies are the same or even stronger than Bush's. Now, let us examine the Democrat Convention just concluded. A great many interesting stories and revelations concerning the coming dictatorial government were visible. We shall just hit the highlights here.
NEWS BRIEF: "Kerry gunnin' for W: Tough speech foreshadows tough fight for White House", New York Daily News, July 30, 2004
"George Bush, you have a problem. John Kerry made that resoundingly clear last night with an acceptance speech that was smartly written and powerfully delivered. Even its length of 50 minutes worked in its favor because Kerry used the time to touch every base he had to reach. That he left the podium looking drenched and spent was a testament to the forcefulness of purpose he brought to the occasion ... It was a huge moment, and he rose to the challenge of explaining himself and his vision better than I thought he would or could. And he exhibited a toughness that was appealing, given the war in Iraq and the never-ending threat of terrorism. In doing so, Kerry met the litmus test of a nominee - he came across as Presidential. In tone, vigor and commitment, he showed himself as somebody who can not be dismissed as a pretender. It is now possible to imagine him sitting in the Oval Office."
Democrats were hoping that a different John Kerry would show up last night to accept the nomination than the one who usually bores people to death on the campaign trail. Last night was Kerry's huge moment to shine for 300 million people, and he made the most of it. I was surprised that his 50-minute acceptance speech did not begin until 10pm, East Coast time, but the professionals running the convention must have been convinced that the West Coast audience was more important than the East Coast.
Let us quickly list some of Kerry's more important points:
* On domestic issues, Kerry painted a picture of a benevolent government that solves virtually every problem man has. Only the rich and job-exporting corporations better watch their backs. Everybody else looks to be in line for a new government subsidy.
* Those promises came just a day after running mate John Edwards described an agenda that seemed Socialist in its commitment to equality
* "I will be a commander in chief who will never mislead us into war" -- Throughout the convention, Kerry's forces portrayed him as a Vietnam War hero running against a Vietnam War coward who shirked his duty in the Air National Guard and who is today trying to hide his records so voters will not realize how little time he spent on duty. One article recently hit this very theme, being titled, "It's war hero vs. war dodger" (New York Daily News, July 28, 2004)
Kerry is saying two very important things in this sentence, above. First, he is saying that he is a tough former officer who experienced enemy fire and who knows the terrible cost of war; therefore, when he leads men into combat, the cause will be right and just. Secondly, Kerry is saying that President Bush mislead this nation into the wars of Afghanistan and Iraq, a theme you may expect to hear again and again and again until November.
Of course, the truth is just a little bit different from Kerry's rhetoric. President Bush has "admirably" fulfilled every Illuminati plan since 9/11. The wars in Afghanistan and Iraq were planned to be the trigger war for the World War III "Final Birth Pangs" war which will produce Antichrist. If Kerry succeeds Bush in this election, it will be because the Illuminati wants a Democrat President in office to carry out the next stage of the Plan.
* "I want an America that relies on its own ingenuity and innovation - not the Saudi royal family." -- This Kerry statement comes very close to the charge made repeatedly by Michael Moore's "Fahrenheit 9/11". Moore hits this theme very hard and consistently through his movie, ascribing the entire war effort in both Afghanistan and Iraq to Bush family greed for oil revenues.
* Kerry sought to portray himself as being tough enough to win the terror war while being smart enough to know America cannot do it alone. ""We need to rebuild our alliances so we can get the terrorists before they get us' he said." Kerry continued in this vein: ""I know the reach of our power and I know the power of our ideals," Kerry also said. "We need to be looked up to and not just feared."
His speech was so good, it probably galvanized many an American undecided voter. President Clinton and Senator Ted Kennedy must have looked on with joy.
One final note before we proceed to the next convention article: Seasoned Cutting Edge subscribers know very well that this entire electoral process is a sham. Most of the races are predetermined and all the really important ones are fixed. Further, since both candidates in most races are trained in either the CFR, or the Trilateral Commission, or the Bilderbergers, the New World Order plan will go forward no matter who gets elected, or which party wins the position.
In fact, the American electoral system is patterned after the controlled conflict of the Dialectic Process. Read our explanation of the Dialectic in NEWS1007 , remembering that the Democrat Party serves as the "Thesis" in the equation, while the Republican Party serves as the "Antithesis". Their public debating and sparring is designed to produce the new, hybrid system known as the New World Order, without alerting the average American voter as to what is really going on.
III. Boston was so protected from terrorism during the Democrat Convention, it strongly resembled a fortress, complete with a jail for dissidents built close to the FleetCenter.

"BOSTON ó ... Fear of a terrorist attack at the Democratic National Convention has turned Bostonís Fleet Center into a paranoid political Fort Knox, complete with face-scanning cameras, chemical bomb treatment kits and random subway searches. Balloons will still fall and drinks will still flow, but the first convention after September 11 will be filled with reminders that Americans no longer feel safe. Itís an issue that resonates far beyond the 8-foot wire fence and concrete barricades surrounding Bostonís convention center this week ... Homeland Security Director Tom Ridge warned that the conventions could be a target for terrorists looking to 'disrupt our democratic process' ... Seventy-five high-tech video cameras operated by the federal government monitor the area around the convention center, with officials in Boston and Washington, D.C., zooming in on the faces of pedestrians and license plates of cars. The Coast Guard scours Boston Harbor with infrared devices and night-vision cameras. Thousands of bioterror antidote packs have arrived in the city. A major freeway that runs near the Fleet Center will be shut down in the evenings during the convention ... All vehicles downtown are subject to random searches. Trash cans through much of the city have been removed so that terrorists canít hide bombs in them. Sewer manholes have been welded shut. Delegates wonít be able to escape the heightened security even in their hotels, where guards will be stationed around hotel ventilation systems."
Within a few hours after the first plane hit the World Trade Center Towers, TV anchormen and "seasoned analysts" were asking the question near and dear to the heart of the Illuminati: how many liberties will Americans be willing to give up in order to achieve increased security?" The conditioning of the masses has continued along those lines ever since then, so it should not be too surprising to see that this first political convention since 9/11 has taken away so many of the private liberties Americans have long enjoyed, turning Boston into a massive fortress in the process.
How tightly were the security screws tightened on Bostonians during the Democrat Convention? So many residents bolted out of the city before the convention started that businesses reported virtually no sales. And, the expected business from the 35,000 Democrat delegates did not happen, either, as most of them stayed inside their hotels so they would not have to contend with nasty security personnel patrolling just outside. After all, there is no reason to get accidentally shot by a security guard in the middle of the night who might just think your skin is too dark to be American!
Things were just that bad. A subscriber who is a regular security guard in downtown Boston called me yesterday to report that Boston was almost at the point of Martial Law. Guards were very heavily armed -- some with M-16 military rifles -- and were very nervous. He reported that the "Free Speech Zone" constructed well away from the FleetCenter really did resemble a World War II military concentration camp, with razor wire all around; it just looked nasty, totalitarian. But, security forces also threw up a regular security fence all the way around the entire FleetCenter complex, with entrances closely guarded. Can you blame the delegates for not wanting to go through such security procedures twice so they could go downtown during the evening? Boston Mayor Menino may pay for this terrible turn of events with his job during the next election.
IV. Speakers at the Democrat Convention showed their schizophrenia over the inflammatory issue of religion. Since President George Bush is perceived to have seized the Evangelical Christian Right Wing, the Democrats were anxious to portray themselves as sympathetic to that segment; but on the other hand, Democrats needed to appeal to their traditional Liberal religious roots which hate anything smacking of fanaticism. Speakers at this convention spoke to both of these sides of the issue, on the same day: speakers from Alabama appealed to Chrsitians while actor Alec Baldwin appealed to those Democrats who most assuredly do not like any type of religious fanaticism.

"Inside a dim, windowless ballroom in the Hyatt Regency Boston, Alabama delegates stomped, cheered, and shouted 'Amen' as Ron Sparks, the state's commissioner of agriculture and industries, yesterday delivered a stirring address in which he described attending church with his grandmother as a boy. 'Let me say this one thing: It really aggravates me every time one of those Republicans tell me that I don't know anything about Jesus Christ', Sparks said, prompting a round of 'That's right!' from other delegates. Then Paul R. Hubbert, executive secretary of the Alabama Education Association, sparked applause by saying, 'We have allowed the other side to bully us, in talking about values, values that we treasure'."
This article never mentioned what the response was from the pro-abortion and pro-gay delegates at the convention. No record was made as to whether pro-ACLU delegates spoke out during this speech. But, of course, the Republican Party has these types of delegates, too. However, I felt a surge of rank hypocrisy sweep over me as I read of this speech. Truly, both major political parties speak with a "double-minded" tongue.
As the article continued, you could see that this speech was just one part of a concerted effort to capture a portion of the religious vote. Since Bush seems to have the more conservative, Evangelical vote sewn up, the Democrats naturally are reaching out to a more Liberal, Inter-Faith bunch.
"Democrats, gathered in Boston for their quadrennial national convention, are making what they say is an effort to reclaim the language of faith and to reach out to religious voters. Their drive comes as political observers talk of a 'God Gap', as the Bush campaign is aggressively reaching out to church members, and as polls show the more often a voter goes to church, the more likely one is to vote Republican. Yesterday, the Democratic National Committee sponsored its first convention caucus for 'people of faith', and last week the party hired a Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) minister as a senior adviser on outreach to religious voters. On Monday night, the Democratic National Committee allowed a rabbi, William Hamilton of Congregation Kehillath Israel in Brookline, onto the convention floor to lead about 50 delegates in a post-adjournment chanting of the Book of Lamentations to mark the Jewish holiday of Tisha B'Av." In terms of sheer numbers, the Inter-Faith group may add up to as many members as Evangelical Christianity.
Now that the "Christian" voters were satisfied with the Democrat Party, actor Alec Baldwin delivered a speech designed to appeal to the far left voters within the Party, those who feel that much too much noise is being made today as to the importance of Christianity in religion. Listen carefully, for you will see one of the elements by which President Bush is being discredited right now. You will likely hear more of this type of anti-fundamentalist rhetoric in the weeks and months ahead.

'To me, the Republican Party is the real great tragedy of the last 25 years because there are lot of good and decent people and a lot of good political points [that have] come from the Republican Party in the post-war period, but it has been hijacked by these fundamentalist wackos', Baldwin said."
In the past two years, many articles have been written alleging that one of the major factors influencing Bush's decision to go to war in Iraq was his Fundamental, Evangelical belief in End of the Age prophecy. According to this view -- which is propaganda and not the truth -- Bush so literally believes in Biblical prophecy concerning the Last Days that he launched the war in Iraq, believing he was helping fulfill prophecy. Right on cue, Christian leaders like Tim LaHaye and Dr. Timothy Ice began propagating the notion that, because Bush had "liberated" Iraq from the iron-clad fist of dictator Saddam Hussein, efforts could now begin to rebuild the Ancient city of Babylon to the point where she could become the key city during the reign of Antichrist. The "Left Behind" series portrayed this belief perfectly, stating that "New Babylon" was the headquarters city of Antichrist.
The point is that President Bush's Iraq war has been largely laid at the feet of the Evangelical Christian camp, because he supposedly ordered our boys into Iraq based upon his "apocalyptic" Biblical viewpoint. Therefore, every notch downward the President falls because Iraq has turned into a disaster, Evangelical Christianity falls with him. If George W. Bush and his Iraq war are totally discredited, Evangelical Christianity will be totally discredited. Too many Christian leaders have blindly allowed themselves and their congregations to become tied tightly to the President Bush bandwagon. If he is brought down into deep disgrace, Fundamental Christianity will go down with him, possibly even to the point to where true Fundamentalists can be persecuted.
V. The current movie, "Manchurian Candidate" is said by some to be more damaging to the Bush campaign effort than "Fahrenheit 9/11".

' This movie could pass for the de facto fifth day of the [Democrat] convention itself.'"
This article on Drudge continues to tell us more about "Manchurian Candidate".
" 'The American people are terrified', says Streep's villainous senator early on as, John Ashcroft-style, she wields a national security report promising 'another cataclysm, probably nuclear'. And so we watch her and the rest of the Manchurian Global cabal exploit that fear in any way possible, using the mass media as a brainwashing tool, manipulating patriotic iconography for political ends. 'Compassionate vigilance' is one campaign slogan. A televised election night rally features a Mount Rushmore backdrop (as in a signature Bush photo op) and a chorus line of heroic cops and firemen (reminiscent of the early Bush-Cheney ads exploiting the carnage at ground zero)." You will immediately recognize that this movie plot closely parallels the real-life events of the past 3 years since 9/11. We posted an indepth study of the many repeating headlines since 9/11 that have not only proven bogus, but have terrified tens of millions of Americans into a form of mass brainwashing (NEWS1888). One of the authors whose books we carry on Cutting Edge told me recently that she never anticipated that the final drive toward the global citizen serving the global dictatorship would come out of an event like 9/11, which was thoroughly wrapped in patriotism and the American flag. This movie apparently picks up this theme as well -- "manipulating patriotic iconography for political ends" as a means to brainwash an entire population - a population-wide brainwashing so slick the vast majority of people will never realize they have been manipulated!
Now, let us turn to another movie review, more recent than the Drudge Report. This review gives a very succinct preview of the movie plot.

" 'The Manchurian Candidate' is a thunderbolt. Denzel Washington speaks straight to the camera during one fevered moment as if to reach through the screen and throttle the audience. 'Wake up, America! You've been brainwashed'! ... this update is remarkable for its performances, resolve and timeliness ... Put it on a double bill with Michael Moore's "Fahrenheit 9/11" and it could galvanize voters, because this movie is as dismayed by the Bush administration as the original was by McCarthyism."
"Surviving members of an ambushed military squad (this time in the first Gulf War, rather than Korea) begin to doubt what went down. If their disjointed nightmares are correct, then Sgt. Raymond Shaw (Liev Schreiber) isn't the war hero everyone thinks he is, and shouldn't be his party's vice-presidential candidate. Even Shaw has his doubts. What kind of hero is so stiff and miserable, and plagued by such an overbearing mother (Meryl Streep)? Maj. Bennett Marco (Washington) is the guy who starts putting together the pieces; the more passionate he gets, the more he himself unravels. His suspicions point at something sinister and entrenched and uncomfortably close to home - especially if you've seen 'The Corporation', a recent documentary about the manifest destiny of conglomerates."
"All fingers point to Manchurian Global, a Halliburton-like company that profits from the business of war ... No political parties are mentioned in this nonetheless eminently partisan film. 'The Manchurian Candidate' unleashes its fury on an administration in bed with big business. If it does become a crossover hit, that crossover will be felt among blue states and red states alike."
Very few people like to admit they have been brainwashed, for that implies they are stupid. However, all people educated in Public Schools since World War II have been thoroughly brainwashed. Their academic textbooks have been dramatically dumbed down to the point where numerous high school graduates cannot read, logic is no longer even taught, history has been rewritten so people will not recognize the global changes occurring all around them and so that they will trust Big Government and Big Media. Today, most people depend upon their local newspapers and CNN for news, not realizing they are not getting enough information to be fully informed.
Throw in TV movie plots that glorify Homeland Security, the FBI and the CIA and you have all the makings of sophisticated brainwashing. However, since the attacks of 9/11, that conditioning has moved into high gear. Using all the manipulative tools at their disposal, and aided by the great fear of more terrorist attacks fueled by incessant false "terror alerts", master propagandists have been able to convince people to look the other way when Congress acquiesced to the demands of President Bush and Attorney General Ashcroft for extreme dictatorial powers. The key to keeping the people asleep until all plans are finalized is to pass the law, but not enforce it right away; thus, "gloom and doom" purveyors who warn that our liberties are being eroded are discredited because these terrible laws are not immediately enforced. A fool who jumps out of an airplane at 30,000 feet without a parachute is correct in his belief that he can defy the laws of gravity right up to the 29,999 foot mark. Likewise, the citizen is foolish who believes that -- since America has had these dictatorial laws for almost 2 years now -- our liberties are not in danger and American citizens are not the ultimate target of these "terror laws".
VI. Russia is reportedly close to agreeing to send 40,000 troops to fight in Iraq! The armed militaries of the nations of the world are pouring into the Middle East (Valley of Jehoshaphat) just as Joel 3 foretells! Another sign of the End of the Age may be unfolding right in front of us.
When President Bush announced, prior to our Iraq invasion, that foreign nations called the "Coalition of the Willing" were backing him either militarily or monetarily, , 45 nations answered the call ("45 nations join 'coalition of willing' ", WorldNetDaily, March 19, 2003). Christians knowledgeable in the remarkable prophecies of Joel 3 were excited, for a major prophecy seemed in the process of unfolding in our daily news. Today, over 150,000 foreign troops are in Iraq, and are slated to remain for years. Now, Russia may be about to commit 40,000 troops. Military forces are pouring into the Middle East, just as prophecy foretells!
NEWS BRIEF: "US and Russia conduct negotiations to dispatch Russian peacemakers to Iraq", Pravda, July 21, 2004
"Moscow and Washington conduct negotiations to dispatch up to 40,000 Russian military men to Iraq in return for economic concessions. The Bush's administration addressed to the Russian government with a proposal to dispatch Russian military men to Iraq or Afghanistan, the US analytical information agency Stratfor reported with reference to Russian sources. It reportedly goes about 40,000 military men, including three infantry divisions and an airborne brigade. The agency's sources close to the Russian Security Council said, President Putin 'theoretically agreed' to meet the White House's wishes. It was said Putin ordered the General Headquarters to develop the plan of the operation by the end of July. Supposedly, Russian military units will be deployed on the entire territory of the country."
If 40,000 Russian troops were deployed to Iraq, Coalition Forces there would be strongly reinforced. About 6 months before Bush ordered the Iraqi invasion, his Army Chief of Staff testified before Congress that 260,000 American troops would be needed to accomplish Administration goals. Only one-half that number was committed; therefore, 40,000 Russian troops would bring the total number of Coalition Forces would be brought toward the level of 200,000, a lot closer to the original number.
However, Russian forces are not the only foreign troops which may be sent to Iraq. Muslim forces may be on the way, to fight for the pro-Coalition Interim Government.
NEWS BRIEF: "Saudis back Allawi peacekeeping appeal", By Guy Dinmore in Washington, and Reuters news agency, FT.Com, July 29 2004
"Iyad Allawi, Iraq's interim prime minister, on Thursday secured important backing from Saudi Arabia for his appeal to Muslim countries to contribute peacekeeping forces ... analysts say Iraq is hoping that Saudi Arabia's position as guardian of Islam's holiest shrines, and its considerable financial weight, will persuade countries such as Egypt, Pakistan and Bangladesh to reconsider their refusals to become involved ... Indonesia, the world's most populous Muslim nation, said it would only consider contributing troops if it was a UN blue-helmet force under UN command."
Notice the countries mentioned as possibly sending forces to Iraq: Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Indonesia.
A related article said up to 22 members of the Arab League were willing to discuss sending troops to Iraq to protect UN interests in the country ("Iraq troop plea discussed in Tunis", Aljazeera News, Thursday 29 July 2004).
The nations of the world are either pouring troops into the Middle East or are contemplating doing so; is Joel 3 being fulfilled in your Daily News? Let us quickly review the prophecy, which begins only after Israel comes back to her land as a nation.
"FOR BEHOLD, in those days and at that time when I shall reverse the captivity and restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all nations and will bring them down into the Valley of Jehoshaphat, and there will I deal with and execute judgment upon them for their treatment of My people and of My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations and because they have divided My land." Some of our readers have emailed us, asking about our belief about the Valley of Jehoshaphat and the 'Day of the Lord'. Most Bible scholars teach that the Valley of Jehoshaphat is the battle where Armageddon will be located, and they are correct -- although Armageddon will occur at the very end of the Tribulation Period. However, a lot of war will be spilled before then.
A part of this standard teaching is that the Valley of Jehoshaphat is limited to the Valley of Kidron, and to this we take exception. Listen to one Bible scholar explain about the Valley of Jehoshaphat:
"Joel speaks of the final conflict, when God would destroy all Jerusalem's enemies, of whom Tyre and Zidon, etc., were types. The 'valley of Jehoshaphat' may, therefore, be simply regarded as a general term for the theatre of God's final judgments on the enemies of Israel." [Illustrated Davis Dictionary of the Bible, P. 378; also Jamieson-Fausset-Brown Bible Commentary]
Now that we know that this final judgment will begin to unfold only after Israel comes back to her land, thus reversing her captivity and restoring her fortunes, and now that we know the Valley of Jehoshaphat is a "general term for the theatre of God's final judgments on the enemies of Israel", let us turn to the question as to what constitutes the type of judgment God has in mind. You will discover that God's judgments here are unrelenting war as He brings nation after nation into the Valley of Jehoshaphat for severe death-dealing judgment.
"Proclaim this among the nations: Prepare war! Stir up the mighty men! Let all the men of war draw near, let them come up. Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning hooks into spears; let the weak say, I am strong [a warrior]! Hasten and come, all you nations round about, and assemble yourselves; there You, O Lord, will bring down Your mighty ones (Your warriors). Let the nations bestir themselves and come up to the Valley of Jehoshaphat, for there will I sit to judge all the nations round about. Put in the sickle, for the [vintage] harvest is ripe; come, get down and tread the grapes, for the winepress is full; the vats overflow, for the wickedness [of the peoples] is great. Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision." [Joel 3:9-14; Parallel Bible, KJV/Amplified Bible Commentary]
Once this terrible judgment of war begins -- most likely starting before the "Final Birth Pangs War" to produce Antichrist (Matt 24:24) -- it will continue into a significant portion of the 7-year Tribulation Period. We are looking at constant war in this region for many years until Jesus finally returns! The "Day of the Lord" is an elastic period of time at the End of the Age where God continually pours forth His wrath -- beginning with the Final Birth Pangs (Sorrows) of Matthew 24:6-8 and continuing to Jesus' triumphant return at Armageddon.
VII. Last month, we posted an article, "US. Supreme Court Hands Bush A Major Victory - Bush Can Arrest You Without Charges And Refuse You A Trial" (NEWS1934), in which we stated that the US Supreme Court had issued a ruling taking away significant liberties and protections offered American citizens in our Constitution. This case was "Hamdi Decision. Cutting Edge has continually predicted that, given the onerous erosion of liberties and rights within Patriot Acts I and II, a Supreme Court decision giving the President the authority he is demanding that will allow him dictatorial powers seemed inevitable. In the guise of "fighting terror", a significant portion of the liberties and rights of many an average American citizen had seemingly just been taken away!
We based our article on an Associated Press article printed and reprinted in many newspapers and online news agencies. This was the news article:
NEWS BRIEF: "Bush Can Hold Citizens Without Charges", By ANNE GEARAN, My Way News, June 28, 2004
"WASHINGTON (AP) - The Supreme Court ruled narrowly Monday that Congress gave President Bush the power to hold an American citizen without
charges or trial, but said the detainee can challenge his treatment in court. The 6-3 ruling sided with the administration on an important legal point raised in the war on terrorism ... The careful opinion seemed deferential to the White House, but did not give the president everything he wanted ... Congress voted shortly after the Sept. 11 attacks to give the president significant authority to pursue terrorists, but Hamdi's lawyers said that authority did not extend to the indefinite detention of an American citizen without charges or trial.
"The Bush administration contends that as 'enemy combatants', the men are not entitled to the usual rights of prisoners of war set out in the Geneva Conventions. Enemy combatants are also outside the constitutional protections for ordinary criminal suspects, the government has claimed."
This was the news article upon which we based NEWS1934. We know that major news organizations retain lawyers whose job is to supply journalists with opinions of legal decisions soon after they are handed down. Based upon a respect for the lawyers retained by Associated Press, we readily ran with the story as it was given. However, within NEWS1934, we stated that we were having a lawyer read this decision and we would change any information he deemed necessary after reading the court decision.
A lawyer working with Cutting Edge has now read the Hamdi decision, and based upon his findings, we have pulled our article down. The Supreme Court really upheld the rights of American citizens and delivered a serious blow to the Bush Administration's efforts to trample on citizen's rights by simply declaring them to be "Enemy Combatants".
We are still puzzled why the Associated Press got the story all wrong. But, we have learned a valuable lesson: in matters of legal decisions; we must rely upon our own lawyer reading the decision. We apologize for our original story, but we did take it down immediately after learning the truth, because we are committed to maintaining a high standard of accuracy. In the final analysis, what the Supreme Court rules or does not rule in matters of citizen's rights and liberties is probably moot, for once the planned crisis explodes, the entire government is going to be dissolved, including Congress and the High Court.
DVD or VHS VIII. After the Kerry campaign noted that President Bush could immediately enact 25 of out 41 proposed changes from the 9/11 Commission, President Bush announced that he was starting to work to issue those Executive Orders!
NEWS BRIEF: "Real test of adopting 9/11 reforms", Gulf News, July 27, 2004
"Washington: Of all the big reforms that the September 11 commission's new report is pushing Congress to enact, the toughest ones to get passed may be those calling for Congress itself to change the way it oversees intelligence and counterterrorism activities ... responding to pressure from both Congress and Democratic challenger John F. Kerry, the White House has signalled that President George W. Bush was likely in coming days to adopt at least some of the reforms recommended by the commission investigating the September 11 terrorist attacks ... But Kerry overtook Bush again, with his advisers announcing that they had already completed their own analysis and determined that 25 of the 41 recommendations did not require congressional action."
This is a terrible situation to behold! As we noted in earlier newsletters, Bush appointed Council on Foreign Relations men to this panel, plus academic men whose colleges are firmly dependent upon Federal grant monies to continue operating; therefore, this commission was most definitely not independent, but would simply give the Illuminati the declaration they wanted. The major positive accomplishment of this commission was to indirectly declare that the official government version of how the 9/11 terrorist attacks was correct. Based on this fallacious assumption, the panel set to work to find "intelligence failures" that "allowed" this attack to occur. And, of course, the commission would find President Bush and his lieutenants not guilty of any incompetence or any prior knowledge.
However, once these goals were accomplished, the commission had another major bit of work to do. Since the Mass Media and the White House worked together to bestow a large measure of respectability upon the commission, the public waited with baited breath to discover what "solutions" they recommended in order to prevent other attacks, possibly greater than the attacks of 9/11.
Therefore, the 9/11 panel gave the Illuminati the opportunity to advance their next steps toward the dictatorship planned for all of us; these "next steps" would come forth covered with the respectability aura bestowed upon them by the commission. Rather than properly examining each of these "recommendations" and fight them on their lack of merits, people will breathlessly await the moment when either the Congress and/or the White House can enact them into law. Very few people will actually question whether these recommendations are worthy or dangerous.
However, did you notice the bipartisan nature of these recommendations? Before President Bush could begin work on his Executive Orders which would fulfill the panel's counsel, Candidate Kerry jumped into the fray. Listen:
"But Kerry overtook Bush again, with his advisers announcing that they had already completed their own analysis and determined that 25 of the 41 recommendations did not require congressional action." (Ibid.)
Thus, Kerry was announcing that his own team of advisers had studied the proposed changes and had determined that 25 out of the 41 recommendations could be immediately set into place through Executive Orders. Since Presidents are not effectively restrained by Executive Orders, many Constitutional scholars believe they are unlawful, dangerous and should be halted. Indeed, some of the most draconian measures aimed at our liberties were set in motion by an Executive Order. Next week, we shall introduce a new book which expertly examines Presidential Executive Orders; the title is "Inside Our Shadow Government". We should be instock by Tuesday.
The way Kerry was pressuring Bush to act quickly will propel the effort to immediately enact the recommendations of the 9/11 commission, first by Executive Order and then by Congress. Late last week, Congress announced plans to begin working on the panel's recommendations which do need Congressional approval; and, since the issue is so important to "national security", the Congressional committees working on the project will continue working through Summer Recess.
Once again, you see another issue in which Kerry's position is either identical to that of President Bush, or very close.
IX. Members of the Satanic group, Bohemian Grove, began their meeting in Monte Rio, California, with their attendence list as difficult as ever to obtain.
All former occultists who have advised me since 1992 have firmly stated that Bohemian Grove is exceedingly Black Magick Satanism. In recent years, a major media effort has been waged to convince people that this meeting is simply a harmless get-together of elite government, industry and entertainment people to discuss the issues of the day. Of course, nothing could be further from the truth.
Descriptions of the type of Satanic activity which goes on at the Bohemian Grove is so shocking as to defy belief. However, one article posted in the California, Press Democrat, reveals one of the rituals which former Satanist Cisco Wheeler mentions in her Mind Control book ("The Illuminati Formula To Create An Undetectable Mind Control Slave").

"It begins with the Cremation of Care, a ceremonial bonfire beneath a giant statue of an owl that is meant to symbolize the release of burden. The robed men gathered at the edge of the lake include world leaders, captains of industry and celebrities, as well as lesser-known businessmen, academics and even a musician or two. They are drawn every July to a pristine forest of redwoods along the Russian River, where access is strictly limited to invited members and guests. Bizarre ritual and secrecy aside, the real attraction of the Midsummer Encampment at Bohemian Grove is escape from worldly concerns."
Cisco Wheeler describes this Cremation ritual somewhat differently. You see, the "Cremation of Care" is a standard Black Magick ritual, of which Satanists are well aware. This picture of Cremation Care was taken from a Satanic flyer in 1982 entitled, "Rod McManigaly Directory". The hooded man in the foreground is the Witch performing the ritual while the fire god, Molech, towers above him. Notice the owl at the very top of the picture spreading its wings over the proceedings, just as the above news story reports.
Wheeler states that this picture was a "cover of the program of ritual at Bohemian Grove in which a child is sacrificed and a snuff film is made of it" ["The Illuminati Formula To Create An Undetectable Mind Control Slave", Page 31]
The most incredible evil imaginable is annually performed at Bohemian Grove, while Americans sleep on, content to believe the propaganda lie that this meeting is harmless.

Fifty to 100 private jets have landed at the airport daily in the past two weeks ... Its guest list this year includes George Schultz, a former secretary of state; David O'Reilly, chairman of ChevronTexaco; H.B. Atwater Jr., chief executive officer of General Mills; and Edgar Kaiser Jr., founder of the Kaiser Foundation ... Rumsfeld and former President George Bush are members of the Hill Billies camp, although it's unclear whether either is actually going. Let me preface by saying that I am not intending to offend, hurt, or cast aspersion on anyone on the forum. But,I have to take serious exception to the above post of "news articles". These conspiracy theories have been floated by certain groups for years. They have been the livihood of many authors and even a few radio talk hosts. In addtion to the myths of "Skull and Bones", various Brotherhoods, you can add CFR, Bilderburgers, Illuminati and a host of others. The problem is lack of evidence. It's like the monster in the closest. When you the open the door he is not there. But he was, wasn't he?
I have dealt with relatives and friends for years who are conspiracty theorists and I have investigated various conspiracies. The only people who have "evidence" are those who manufacture the theory. I have yet to find any independent objective evidence for any of these conspiracies.
Think a moment. If all of these groups are out there and are as powerful as is claimed, they would have taken over long ago and it would be obvious. Logic dictates that that has not happened.
I know that there are many in the Christian community that are into these ideas. I know some. I also know that it is very difficult to reason with them. They see lack of objective evidence as actual proof that the conspiracies are real. That is irrational, and irrational people worry me.
The biggest concern I have with these theories is that when we get wrapped up in them we tend to start losing sight of the big picture. GOD IS IN CONTROL. Even if some group is trying to take over, it DOES NOT MATTER. In the end WE WIN.
In addition; the "news" about the Iraq war is interesting but I say, so what? We are at war. In a war people get hurt and killed. All wars are terrible but sometimes the alternatives are more so. I believe that the public does not need to know every juicy detail. In fact, I think we would be through it quicker if we opertated the media as it was in WWII. Everything was censored for security reasons. Just my opinion.

Okay, some of this is just plain silly. As an example:

The so called "jail for dissidents" appears to be referring to the protest zone that was setup near the FleetCenter to allow all manner of anarchist and other odd groups to protest to their hearts' content without accosting those who were attempting to enter the building. The same groups that run wild at every WTO meeting (you know the ones who destroyed downtown Seattle) were there protesting and bitterly complaining to anyone who would listen that they were being cooped up in a "jail for dissdents" (i.e. a cordoned off area freely open to all who wished to hold protests) and being denied their 1st ammendment rights to disrupt the convention in anyway they chose.

It's good to get some feedback on this stuff. You have made a woman happy tonight. And I mean that sincerely. With your feedback and opinions and That's what I've been hoping for. And I know you are not out to offend or anything such a thing. So this is great to toss back and forth some dialogue on these matters.
Now, let me ask you a question or two, if you don't mind. What is your idea of "independant objective evidence?" Or what would you deem "independant objective evidence" would probably be a better way to state that. Hopefully not television and I doubt you would say that. But what other source besides the Bible do we turn to to know what is going on?
Yes, there are many news stations but even at the time of Terri Schiavo having her feeding tube pulled, you didn't see but maybe a 10 second news mention of this attempted murder. I say attempted because Jeb Bush stepped in but it's back to another hearing sometime in August. Did you read or see anything about that? Just wondering cause I'm one of those next in line. So it's real even if you hadn't seen nor heard anything about her.
The point I'm trying to make, and I'm utterly terrible at trying to portray my thoughts in words sometimes, is that we can do what cutting edge is doing and that is researching all the news stories that never make it to or rarely make it to the United States, match them to Bible Scriptures or just sit here wondering what in the world is going on in this world. Don't you ever wonder that? If you don't, you are one of the few. Even the unbelievers know somethings up.
It seems to me that this cutting edge has gone back years and have really done their homework. Have you read their website and many of their articles that link you to other articles with the sources they are gathering their data from? Also, the other websites besides cutting edge that say the same thing? Oh how I wish I knew how to send a picture to you of Hillary Clinton being blessed by an Indian Shaman and how the White House grounds, along with the Pentagon are set up in the shape of a goats head.
Something just occurred to me also, what about the now Born Again Christians, but used to live the world worshipping satan? that revealed this stuff to cutting edge? I would think they would know what they are talking about, don't you. That's an independant source if you ask me. Also, I know some of this already due to my own background which also makes me a source to attest to much of this cutting edge information.
As to it taking so long I look at it this way. One, look how long we've been waiting on the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God. The length of time doesn't make it 'not true' right? So when it comes to this system and the Bible does teach us there will be a system that is evil, Especially in the last days, I take that as true also. And this system in the last days, according to the Bible will endorse the Mark of the Beast, the Cashless Society and more. Something that has never happened to my knowledge.
Plus, I take a look at our world and remember our world of just 30 years ago (not that it was without fear or corruption...vietnam, watergate etc.) and see such a difference in how much more evil it has become. I'm forever either looking back at my life 30 years ago (although not the sinful way in which I lived) and remembering times when we could leave our doors unlocked at night. When neighbors visited neighbors, when someones word was something meaningful, when the most terrible thing that could happen at a high school (although I was not in school any longer) would be someones locker broken into or maybe a fist fight amongst the boys or even the cat fights of the school girls. Or I revert from looking back at the "good ole days" to "living with Jesus in His Kingdom to come." But this life, this life Dane is terrible in all the ways the Bible told us about. They even legalized homosexuality and it is the Christians who don't have the right to express themselves in the world of "religious tolerance."
Congress didn't even read the Patriot Act 2 before signing it and I have a copy of it and it's not good.
See what I mean?
And yes, I KNOW God is in Control Dane but He also warns us to NOT be deceived and throughout the New Testament we are warned to not be deceieved. Now if Jesus Christ Himself tells us to watch that we are not deceived then apparently and logically there are things we can get very deceived about. God Himself is warning us Dane. He's not saying, 'don't worry and never study the signs of the times nor the evil system that is going to come in during the last days because I'm in charge'....now does He? And He doesn't ever hint at not reading the prophets of old about these days either. Or not reading the New Testament as to what to watch for so we are not decieved. Why is that do you think?
We are to study the prophecies. I'm not into the SDA end time run down but I do believe times are going to get very bad for us here. The prophecies tell it all and so too does Paul the Apostle, Jesus Christ our God and many others like Jude and Revelation of Jesus Christ penned by John on the island of Patmos.
Well, this is a beginning of dialogue and hopefully I've made some sense to you this night. I have brain atrophy amongst some other thorns so some days are better than others.
I'm very thankful to you for speaking your mind on these things. This is very exciting to get a discussion going even if we never agree with one another or we just can't find all the answers but perhaps we can find some things out that will come from all of this. Now I'm going to post to Chris as I see a post below from a Chris also. So before my brain runs completely amock, I'll head there.

Hi Dane and Denise,
I grew up very scared about what was going to happen in the future. Was taught that if we didn't understand everything we would be deceived. I tried and tried to figure it out and at the same time became very interested in wild plants that were edible, and ways to 'live off the land', for when 'they came to get us and we had to run.'
The Lord was very patient with me and, I believe, helped me to see the following.
If I walk with Him each day, trusting His guidance, I can trust that He will prepare me for whatever I'll need to have learned to handle tomorrow.
On the other hand, if I try to second guess Him and go around trying to MAKE myself ready for whatever might happen, it can get dangerous. If God wants me to minister for Him in New York City, but I think I must go and get my place ready to be 'safe' in the wilderness with the bears, am I safe? No! Even if my physical person is 'safe' I am not safe because I am not trusting God. On the other hand if I go to New York City trusting God to protect me and someone pulls a gun on me there, am I safe? Yes! Does that mean I will survive being shot? If that is God's will yes, but not necessarily.
Are we to pay attention to the world around us? Yes! Are we to understand the fulfillment of prophecy? Yes! But we are to remember that our Father holds all things in His hands and that we can trust Him with our future too!
I've often found that as I study the Bible or go around during the day and notice a particular fact, a little later a situation will come up where I need just that fact. I think of those as moments God was getting me ready for what was coming.
I think we can trust that more distant future will be taken care of by Him also. I'm seeking to concentrate on walking with Him each day right now!
Just my opinion!

Mary, I completely agree with you. I do believe that more is going on that most of us can see or will ever know. But I believe that God doesn't want us to obsess about these things because our continual focus must be on walking with Him, allowing the Spirit to direct our decisions and actions and even our thoughts moment by moment.
I love what John Piper says in his book, "Brothers, We Are Not Professionals". (It's a book written for pators, but it applies equally well to all Christ-followers.) He says that there are some extremely difficult passages in the Bible, and the question arises, what are we to do with these passages? How are we to understand them?
He said he believes that the prupose of those difficult passages is for us to encounter them and to ask God to reveal to us the truth He has in them for us. They are there to drive us to our knees before Him and to open ourselves to His teaching.
I see world events n much the same way. We know we are commanded to pray for our leaders--even if we don't like them! We are told to pray for God's protection and peace. WE can't, though, figure out exactly what's going on and and what the implications are for us. I do believe we're not to be blind and accepting with uncritical minds, but our focus must be on Jesus. Our energy really must be on knowing Him and surrendering to Him and knowing His will for us moment by moment.
I'm so grateful that God is in charge. He is sovereign even over the nations and their leaders, whether or not they are devious and compromised. All are under His sovereign will.

I sense that I have offended you and I apologize. When I responded to your post of yesterday I should have been more clear. The only real issue I had was with the references to Bush and company. By the way, it is not just because I like Bush. I would have had the same reaction had the charge been laid against Bill Clinton. My point is that these are extremem claims. It is fundamental that extreme claims require extreme evidence for support. I am not questioning your reasoning powers. I am questioning the reasoning powers of those who make the claims. Up until a few years ago I found many of these ideas very tempting. Then when I started to seriously investigate I discovered that the evidence is not there. However, many of these people seem to think that no evidence is required. It's like the tactic used by many of the liberals. If you level a big charge against someone and keep repeating it then the charge is all that matters. Evidence is ignored or not even sought. As Christians we are warned to test all things and to use Spirit-directed reason. Sadly, I think that many do not.
By the way, I checked out Contenders and Cutting Edge. The Contenders site in my opinion backs up most of what it says with hard evidence. For example, in news of the U.N. it cites U.N. documents (I checked). I am very disappointed in the Cutting Edge site. It is full of unconfirmed conspiracies. Also, in checking on the two gentlemen who seem to author most of the commentary, I find that one has a degree from a Correspondence School and the other has no apparent professional training (I may be wrong here). I'm sure that both are sincere Christians and able pastors. But I seriously question their abilities to analyze information of the type their are publishing.
I also checked out the article from the The Democrat Press on the Bohemian Gathering. The way it is posted in your copy differs from the actual news article. I also suspect that it would be very difficult to impossible to track down the original sources.
Your posting had a lot of good information that many are not aware of, and I am not trying to discourage anyone from posting things of this nature. I'm just calling it as I see it.
Even if we have to agree to disagree we can do so in Christian love.

Dear Dane,
You are so honest that you melt my heart. And you have NOT offended me in the least. So please please rest your mind on that issue, okay? I had taken ill for a few days but am getting on my feet little by little again. Praise God.
It is so great to have one such as you, voice your belief and opinion in such Christian way. Even if we don't see eye to eye that makes no difference. At least we are both being honest.
Now you went and did what I was hoping someone would do. You actually checked out both sites and compared them. You also could see hard evidence vs somewhat of an extreme point of view (which I will check on that later and give you the original source from which they obtained their information). THAT is what I had hoped someone would do so we can toss back and forth our ideas on these things. And I do know for a fact that Jesus wants us and even tells us to watch and pray. Not only do we keep our daily walk with him but we are to WATCH AND PRAY. That's a command from our God for our own safety.
And as others have stated and I myself have stated, no we do not obsess on these matters but we don't do the opposite and ignore them nor talk about them either. There is a middle ground.
In lieu of so many other topics on this forum, this gives us a different avenue in which we are to keep that command of our Lord. This makes two if we count the "Action Alert" thread and I do not believe that is over-doing. But it is a nice variation.
Speaking for myself, I was raised Jewish with all the Jewish Feasts and Laws. So when the Gospel was finally explained to me almost one year AFTER my baptism, what a joy that gave to me!
Now, I went from being baptised at the Nazarene Church to wondering why we didn't keep the Sabbath. Upon the pastor telling me that we are now in the "new Covenant" I was a bit mixed up and searched for a Synagogue. When I couldn't find one near me, the SDA Church was the only Sabbath Keeping Church I had going for me so there I went only to find I had been decieved.
As a little note here: In my younger years, we went to the SDA Church, the Synagogue and the World Wide Church of God all at the same time. So it seemed natural to go back to something familiar, namely the SDA Church.
Now here I am. Was baptized in 1999, found out about the Gospel in 2000, began studying with FAF at their meetings for a short period, tried various Churches in my area here but still found myself wanting in this area of prophecy.
It is not in me to believe that if I walk with Jesus Christ daily that I won't be deceived. That's not Biblical in my opinion nor does Jesus Christ nor Paul teach that.
Even Jesus Christ Himself referred us back to many of the prophets as did Jude and Paul, John the Revelator and Daniel. They all taught us of the various Kingdoms, who was next, and what is and what is to come. They taught this for a reason and that reason is not for us to ignore it by any means. Otherwise it would not be in the Sacred Scriptures.
Okay, I'm off of my soapbox now.....(blush).....
Truly, I'm so grateful to you for checking those sites out and giving me your feedback. I happen to agree with some of it, however David Bay of Cutting Edge was in Secret Intelligence in the Army so he may know the mindset of our government a bit more than other ministries. So I do what you do, I take what is good and hold on to that and the rest it's a wait and see kind of thing.
But you can rest assured that I do not blindly follow everything I read. Not even on this forum. I'm opinionated (ask Colleen..yikes) and sometimes I can be not so rational or perhaps to reactional and other times, I'm a fool by following blindly. This last one is the one I wish to avoid and you are helping me with your input and my thanks to you is more than words can say.
My hope is that we can continue talking about these issues and I will check out that cutting edge article you spoke about and even ask David himself where he obtained the information and relay that this way. Sound good? I hope so because I like your sound mind, your Christian mannerism and your openess to be who you are.

It appears to me that we have a different standard to live by than Daniel the prophet. God doesn't show favortism so it seems to me that if Daniel was reading prophecy then we are no better and we too should not only read it but discuss it with one another. What say ye?
We don't have to agree with each other but this new teaching of not reading the prophecies to know what to watch for seems odd to me. Infact, Jesus tells us to watch and He also says "See, I have told you ahead of time.........." Now he didn't say, 'well, just believe I'm your God and walk daily with me and oh yeah, nevermind the prophets because you are walking daily with me so no worries mate.' See what I'm saying? He doesn't insinuate that we shouldn't watch, nor does he insinuate nor teach that we shouldn't talk about these prophecies otherwise Paul the Apostle was out of line with the Thessalonians and other First Century Churches.
So, Whadya think? Am I off base? Or is what I've stated a Scriptural "fact?"
I know we all come, or most of us, from the SDA Church that "FOCUSED" on the end times, ESPECIALLY DANIEL AND REVELATION, but let's not let that run us away from discussing this at all. Sound sound minded?

That was a lot to take in. But the whole thing starting out with reporting by Robert Fisk is not a good lead... You may want to check into this guy's credibility as a "journalist". It is hardly stellar.

Hi Denise, I done some investigation on Fisk. He's a Brit who has a PhD in Political Science and an honoary degree in journalism. He's lived in Lebanon since the 80's and does a lot of writing about the middle-east. I read quite a few of his articles and he is a master story-teller. Both ZNet and The Independent appear to be quite far to the left, but you can read his various articles and judge for yourself.
While I am not a journalist I know enough about writing to recognize the difference between objective jouralism and what I call "interpretive jouralism."
On the topic of David Bay: I went back to Cutting Edge and read his bio. Yes, he was in military intelligance with a Top Secret Crypto clearance. He left in 1972. I have no doubt that he served well and is a bright man. But from what I know of the way the military organizes its intelligence structure, I seriously doubt that he was exposed to anything beyond the specifics of what he worked on day-to-day. If he has indicated somewhere that some of his info comes from U.S. intelligence sources there are some problems. 1) People granted Top Secret clearance take an oath to never reveal what they worked on. 2)Unless he was a high ranking officer, which I doubt, then the probability of obtaining this type of info would be extremely low.
I'm not trying to disparage the man, but I know from painful expericence that it pays to thoroughly investigate literature of this nature.
So I am curious as to whether he has made direct or implied claims of official intel in these matters. I don't know because I'm not that familiar with his work.
One other thing that just now popped into my poor brain. Are he and his colleagues KJV only advocates? I noticed a KJV sale prominently displayed on the site.

Now here is the letter I sent to David Bay regarding your questions except this last one on the King James Bible that I've just read. Haven't yet recieved a response but hopefully we will. I sure hope you guys didn't mind me quoting you. Your names are left off of the quotes but this was done so he could see the arising questions. So here is the letter I sent, not last night but the night or morning before that. As soon as you had posted them and I read them sometime during that night. The Letter to Cutting Edge from me:

Please update me and address them as well in the email sent to me, I will pass this email response from you along to them, on any controversy with the cited sources if you wouldn't mind. You have several thousand people on this Bulletin Board who are now beginning to take interest but need "hard evidence" as they put it, into your newsletter.
These folks just left a "cultish" Church that had a false prophetess for their guide so you can understand their relunctance at any conversation as to the end times as that is all their dead prophetess would teach upon practically. But I do believe the Lord is opening their hearts, infact I know He is as I too was a member of that same Church. We had to un-learn the many heresies we were indocrinated with.
I've spoken to Mary, your wife, on many occassions and also Pastor Riffe. Although it wasn't this email address that I used. The one I'd prefer you send your response to would be the one that Mary and Pastor Riffe know and that is:

Also Mr. Bay, one other concern came up as to your credentials and the credentials of Pastor Riffe. I told them that you were in Army Intelligence (hope I've got that correct) and as to the Pastor, I'm not sure but here is the exact quote from the very kind Christian man who says the below quote:

So as you can see Mr Bay, they are interested but will need credentials and "hard evidence" to get them to listen. They are very close to hearing you out.
As a note also. I had also posted some materials from The Contenders Ministry, which they found had "hard evidence" with regards to the U.N. et-cetera. They find The Contender Ministry to be without the Ministries input unless it has documents to back up whatever they say. So, as you can see, these thousands of Christians are searching and I told them I'd ask you all of this information that I've asked and relay your direct quote to them regarding these issues.

Denise, I do believe in reading prophecy. I read it, in fact! I've actually often stated that I believe prophecy is given to us so we understand events as they happen. God doesn't want us in the dark, so to speak.
At the same time, I do believe that we can't figure it all out in advance in detail. Speculating about prophecy seems to me very different from reading it and praying to understand the things God wants us to know. And I know that I can get very preoccupied with the hints of meanings events suggest if I let myself. I have to keep letting the unknown be unknown to me but known to God.

Dear Colleen,
Oh I know you read prophecy and didn't mean to imply that you altogether didn't. Apologies to you my friend and sister in Christ. Prophecy is (as you know) to me, very important and I'm compelled to continue reading it as usuall. Not for a fixed time of our Lords appearing but we are told by Jesus Christ that we will know when His appearing is even at the door.
Here's another site that holds many many beliefs I do as well. This one has to do with the Pre-trib v Post trib camps and also, 'who exactly is Israel.' Please take a look at it and tell me what you think about their position. It would be well if I could get many others to input their thoughts as well with regards to this next site.

Denise, thanks for posting the information. I enjoy casually reading some of these sites but Iím rather like Colleen in not wanting to try to make too much of a particular position.
Since Iíve been without a regular church home, Iíve had the ability to kind of be the watchman on the walls at lots of different churches and conferences. What Iím seeing is a lot of confusion, yet people donít even recognize theyíre confused. For instance, you may sit and listen to a sermon from which the obvious logical conclusion is that you would have to be post-millennial yet that is left unspoken. People then walk out and go right into the churchís bookstore and start looking at the pretrib rapture books.
As I know Iíve said in the past, I believe there is a lot of shifting going on right now in the body of Christ. As a result of classes such as Experiencing God, people from all denominations are starting to recognize that they can hear from God for themselves, thus lessening the power of their individual denominations to impact them. They cross denominational lines, attend conferences with differing beliefs and are modifying their own beliefs to where they may no longer fit the traditional mold. Obviously, when these sincere seekers come from Adventism, itís not long before they find Jesus and leave.
I was just talking Friday night with an Adventist who is on local and national committees. He was admitting how very threatened the denomination is right now to people seeking answers. That is bringing on crackdowns as they react in fear.
Other churches are having members also start asking questions. Iím not sure how the other denominations react, but I have met individual pastors who feel threatened with members who are starting to think more for themselves and hear from God. It seems that itís going to affect most highly the churches that have lock-step statements of belief. If your beliefs, for instance, say you are of a certain persuasion as far as eschatology goes, such as pretrib rapture, and a member starts questioning it, thatís going to create problems. Websites can be an awesome sort of both information and confusion. If they lead you to a deeper study of Godís word, then go for it.
